Never My Love
Kurt Elling Lyrics

When I grow tired of you
Never my love
Never my love
You wonder if this heart of mine
Will lose its desire for you
Never my love
What makes you think love will end
When you know that my whole life depends
On you (on you)
Never my love
Never my love
You say you fear I'll change my mind
And I won't require you
Never my love
Never my love
How can you think love will end
When I've asked you to spend your whole life
With me (with me, with me)
In Kurt Elling's song, "Never My Love," the lyrics speak of love that will never die. The song is about a person reassuring their significant other that their love will never go away or diminish. The lyrics are sung confidently and suggest that the singer has no doubts about their love for their partner. The first verse speaks of the partner's fear that one day the singer will grow tired of them, but the singer assures them that their love will never falter. In the second verse, the partner questions whether the singer's desire for them will remain, but the singer once again confirms that it will never disappear.
The song takes on an interesting perspective when the singer questions why their partner thinks that their love will end, emphasizing the significant role their partner plays in their life. The singer is assuring their partner that their love is unwavering and that their whole life depends on them. The lyrics are simple, but the emotions conveyed in the song are powerful, expressing a deep and eternal love.
The message of the song is one that resonates with many people. It speaks to the idea that true love is everlasting and that once it is found, it endures against all odds. The song offers words of comfort for anyone who may fear that their love will one day fade away.
