She had 6 mainstream album and is currently working on her forth coming. Born Melanie Hernandez Calumpad on January 01, 1981, she is dubbed as the "R&B Princess of the Philippines". Kyla also sang a duet with Jay-R covering Christian Bautista's hit "Say That You Love Me". Kyla also won the 2001 MTV Asia Awards. She is currently a host and performer on a popular Philippine show on the GMA Network.
2. Kyla refers to Kim Carlsson's one man project. Kyla used multiple registers in this song.....nice build up from the beginning to end. Good arrangement and executed even better by a seasoned singer. The riffs and runs were on point, not annoying but where smashed where the notes should be. Usually some singers will do riffs and runs for the sake of embellishment but sometimes this is a suicide but for Kyla it sounds so natural. Yung tipong is Mariah per is Mariah wala ng boses now si Kyla parang nagsisimula pa lang. Lintek na vocal cord yan parang nag stretch pa lalo.
