That what we have was made to be
Your conclusions, they came too soon
(Don't get me wrong coz I don't wanna blame you)
It was just coz my heart was unprepared
(For this drama, this hell in my head)
In Kyla's song "Here I Stand," she reflects on the aftermath of a failed relationship. In the first verse, she talks about feeling deceived by her partner who led her to believe that their relationship was meant to be. However, they came to the conclusion that it wasn't working too soon. Despite this, Kyla doesn't want to blame her partner and acknowledges that her heart was unprepared for the drama and turmoil that the relationship brought into her life. The lyrics suggest that Kyla is feeling hurt and betrayed by her partner's abrupt decision to end things, but she is also trying to make sense of the situation and take responsibility for her own emotions and reactions to the breakup.
The chorus of the song is a powerful declaration of self-worth and resilience. Kyla sings about standing strong in the face of adversity and refusing to let the breakup define her. She acknowledges that she may have stumbled and fallen along the way, but ultimately she is determined to keep moving forward and find peace within herself. The lyrics are an empowering message to anyone who has gone through a difficult breakup or faced other challenges in life.
Overall, "Here I Stand" is a vulnerable and emotional song that explores the pain and confusion that can come with the end of a relationship. Kyla's powerful vocals and introspective lyrics make it a powerful anthem for anyone who has faced similar struggles in their own life.
