Her latest CD was produced by Bill Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson, Cary Brothers, Laura Jansen) and paid for 100% by fan contributions through a highly successful PledgeMusic campaign.
England took a hiatus from her solo career to focus on The Rescues upon being signed to Universal Republic in 2009. “It was a whirlwind couple of years,” she says. “When I had some quiet time in January 2011, the songs started pouring out.”
Kyler’s songs have appeared on numerous TV shows, including Vampire Diaries, One Tree Hill, Switched at Birth, Ghost Whisperer and Army Wives, and in the feature film The Lucky Ones, and her collaborations with DJs have been featured on Armin van Buuren’s “A State of Trance” compilations and radio shows.
She has toured the country (United States) many times, opening for Sting, Annie Lennox, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson and more; she’s also played the Toronto Film Festival.
Electric Hum hit iTunes on 10.25.11 and went humming straight into the Singer-Songwriter chart Top 30. It was named #1 Indie Album of 2011 by Examiner.com and included in Amazon's Digital-Only Faves of 2011. A sign of things to come, Electric Hum is just warming up.
Quittin' Time

We′re sleepin' under a black and blue sky
Don′t know where we went wrong or why
But i'm getting ready to give up this fight
Cause when you've got nothing left to give
You laid it all out on the line
And you′re always trying to work it out
Maybe that′s a sign
Maybe you're still the boy i loved and not the stranger you′ve become
But i'm still the girl whose heart feels like a stone
Cause even when we're together i′m alone
And i′ve got nothing left to give
I've laid it all out on the line
And i′m always trying to work it out
Maybe it's a sign
It′s quittin' time, it′s quittin' time
Counting down to zero reasons left to stay
I wish i could see another way
But we've got nothing to give
It′s all out on the line
And we′re always trying to work it out
Baby it's a sign
It′s quittin' time, it′s quittin' time
Kyler England's song Quittin' Time is a powerful ballad about the end of a relationship. The lyrics speak of a couple who seems to have lost their way in the midst of a dark and tumultuous time. The singer feels defeated and overwhelmed, as if she has given all that she has to give in the relationship. Despite her efforts to work through the problems and find a way to make things right, she is forced to confront the reality that perhaps there is nothing more that can be done. As she contemplates giving up the fight, she wonders where they went wrong and why things have come to this point.
In the first verse, the singer expresses her exhaustion with the situation, describing the black and blue sky they are sleeping under as a metaphor for their troubled and stormy relationship. She acknowledges that she has given everything she has to give, but it doesn't seem to be enough, and she is left feeling defeated. In the second verse, she wonders if there is still a glimmer of hope for their love and if her partner is still the person she fell in love with. However, she admits that even when they are together, she feels alone and disconnected from him. In the final chorus, she realizes that there is nothing left to do but move on and acknowledge that it is time to quit.
Overall, the song is a poignant reflection on the challenges of love and the difficulty of letting go of something that was once so important. The lyrics are beautifully crafted and speak to the universal experiences of heartbreak and loss.

But I'm getting ready to give up this fight
I am prepared to end this struggle

You laid it all out on the line
You put everything you had into this relationship
And you're always trying to work it out
You are continually attempting to fix things
Maybe that's a sign

I wish I could see another way
I desire a different outcome, but cannot find a solution
But we've got nothing to give
Our relationship has nothing left to offer
It's all out on the line
We have put everything we had into this, and it's not enough
And we're always trying to work it out
We are continually striving to fix this, but it's not working
Baby it's a sign
This is an indication that our relationship is over
It's quittin' time, it's quittin' time
It's time to walk away from this relationship
