Just Friends
L.S.G. Lyrics

Just friends, but not like before
To think of what we've been and not to kiss again
Seems like pretending it isn't the ending
Two friends drifting apart
Two friends, but one broken heart
We loved, we laughed, we cried, and suddenly love died
The lyrics of L.S.G.'s song "Just Friends" is about two people who have decided to remain friends after their relationship has ended. It speaks of the difficulty of maintaining a platonic relationship with someone you've been intimate with before. The first line of the lyrics - "Just friends, lovers no more" - sets the tone of the song. It indicates that two people who once had a romantic relationship are now trying to redefine their relationship as just friends. However, this is not without its challenges as the second line - "Just friends, but not like before" - suggests. The dynamic of the relationship has changed, and things can't go back to how they used to be.
The lyrics go on to express the difficulty of moving on from a past love. The line - "To think of what we've been and not to kiss again" - indicates that even though the two characters want to remain friends, they still have feelings for each other. The thought of kissing each other again is tempting, but they choose not to, as it could complicate things further. The lyrics end with the two characters having to accept that their love has died, and they are now two friends, drifting apart.
