Their follow up album reached #3 on the national charts in a mere 7 hours, peaking at #1 with mass critical acclaim yet again. The first single off Running To Midnight, Stars Above You has since peaked at #1 on national charts with the music video being chosen as Video Of The Week in A&R Worldwide, the industry's most respected source.
Running To Midnight is NOW AVAILABLE worldwide on iTunes and all music stores in South Africa.
As rumours go, there is ofcourse talk of a new project on the way, which is all speculation at present. Given the brothers' mysterious ways, we look forward to seeing what Locnville has to offer next!
Murder On Tha Dancefloor
LCNVL Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Cause I was standing here all night
I didn't see a thing and I didn't know that, I didn't know that there was a crime
I can't deny that my alibi isn't mine
Cause I was dancing with her forever
Forever
Forever
And all I remember is screaming out for more (And then a)
Murder on the dancefloor
Why are you looking at me?
Like I'm guilty when you already know
I'm innocent and I wasn't there no
Cause I was standing here all night
I didn't see a thing and I didn't know that, I didn't know that there was a crime
I can't deny that my alibi isn't mine
Cause I was dancing with her forever
Forever
Forever
Cause I was dancing with her forever
And all I remember is screaming out for more (And then a)
Murder on the dancefloor
The lyrics to LCNVL's "Murder On Tha Dancefloor" describe a situation where the singer is being accused of a crime that they did not commit. They claim that they were innocent, and that they were present at the location all night, but did not witness any crime. However, when it comes to giving their alibi, they state that while they cannot deny it isn't theirs, they were dancing with a woman for the entire night, suggesting they were preoccupied and unaware of what else may have been happening around them.
The chorus of the song, "And all I remember is screaming out for more (And then a) Murder on the dancefloor," implies that something sinister may have been happening in the midst of the dancing and partying. The line "Why are you looking at me? Like I'm guilty when you already know" suggests that the singer is frustrated with the false accusation and may feel as though they are being unfairly targeted.
