Absolutely loved this movie. Great acting, authentic stories, real characters. The only misstep in the entire movie was the totally conventional, Hollywood-type, everything's-gonna-be-all-right ending of the script. I guess the writers did not want to completely traumatize the audience or the first test screenings indicated the audience wanted some sort of happy ending.

Brie Larson gave the most authentic performance I have ever seen. She is the Meryl Streep of our times. There is not one false note in her performance; she commands the screen and is outstanding. I recall sending emails to all my friends after viewing this and saying: Man, I hope she is seen by the bigwigs. Because she is truly a treasure to craft the of acting.

I worked at an immigrant shelter for a few years and this movie really hits home for me. 3 years of working with kids and I miss it. Been spit on, kicked, cussed at, hit everything you can imagine but I still think about some of those kids man. You gotta be a special kind of person to handle it though. That’s for sure.

Thank you for this upload. I loved this movie because I’ve lived this movie. Being line staff at an RTC or juvenile group home is rough, but rewarding work.
