LANY is a three piece alternative band from Los Angeles, California. LANY formed in March 2014 when Paul Klein, who had a small solo career, flew to Nashville to meet up with Jake Goss and Les Priest. Previously, Goss and Priest had a separate project by the name of WRLDS, but this was discontinued after the formation of LANY. The following month they uploaded two songs, 'Hot Lights' and 'Walk Away', to SoundCloud incognito in order to differentiate between their old and new projects. Their debut EP, 'Acronymns' followed later that year, with song 'ILYSB' generating significant traffic online. Singles 'Made In Hollywood' and 'Bad, Bad, Bad' soon followed, along with the reveal of their identities.

Found my way to you, yeah
Gave me your number
To see if I come through
Got out of the city
Oh we headed for the woods
Don't know what happened
Baby, I just love the way you love me
And how you dance with me throughout the night
Baby won't you stay awhile with me?
Forever, alright
You sent me letters
Oh they smell like your perfume
And when I read them
I swear you're in the room
Baby, I just love the way you love me
And how you dance with me throughout the night
Baby, won't you stay awhile with me?
Forever, alright
Baby, I just love the way you love me
The classic kind that's filmed in black and white
Baby have you thought at all 'bout maybe, huh
Forever, alright
Baby, I just love the way you love me
And how you dance with me throughout the night
Baby, won't you stay awhile and maybe, huh
Forever, alright
Ooh yeah
Come on, alright, huh
Ooh
In "4EVER!" by Lany, the singer sings about a summer romance that has blossomed into a deeper love. The lyrics speak to the way the couple met, with the singer finding their way to the person and exchanging numbers. They went from the rush of city life to the peacefulness of nature, where something special happened that made the singer hooked. The chorus talks about how much the singer loves the way their partner loves them, and how they love to dance with them all night. The singer asks their partner to stay with them, forever.
The second verse talks about the letters that the partner sends to the singer, which gives them a glimpse into their world. The letters are so intimate that the singer feels like their partner is in the room with them. The chorus repeats, emphasizing the desire for the partner to stay with the singer forever. The final chorus adds a new line, asking if the partner has thought about staying with the singer for good.
