He has played on over 2,000 productions (!!!). His improvisational style on the blues harp, which he plays fully chromatic, differs from the conventional harp playing; his phrasing are blaster oriented and often reminiscent of saxophone and trumpet solos. In addition, Lars plays the blues harmonica with a 70 cm long chord in accordance with the harmonica trio of the '50s.
