They are sisters, Carmela was born in 1954 and is still alive.Their duo started in 1973 and stopped recording in 1979, due to Tina entering jail, and mental hospitals from which she repeatedly escaped.Tina was seeing roaming the streets of Madrid in a stupor after her many escapes and died in 1995 of Aids .
They were discovered by Paco De Lucia
