Getting Good
Lauren Alaina Lyrics

But then you fall in love and there's still a hole
Once I get some money it'll all be easy
But then you get that money, you still feel broke
Once I get a little older, I won't worry
Then you get older and it don't feel like it should
I'm thinking once I learn to grow right where I'm planted
Once I get a car that don't stall in the morning
I can make it anywhere I want, just wait
But I can see it right now sitting in my driveway
Afraid if I take it out, I'll chip the paint
Once I get a house that I can hang my hat on
I bet I'll want to build a bigger one if I could, yeah
I'm thinking, once I learn to grow right where I'm planted
Maybe that's when life starts getting good
Oh, getting good
Getting good
Life starts getting good
I'm thinking maybe that's when life starts getting good
That's when life starts getting good, oh
Oh yeah
I'm afraid of both my parents dying
I call my dad, he answers right away
And I didn't hear a word 'cause I was thinking
About what hasn't happened yet but will someday
And we hang up the phone before I know it
I'm crying over the conversation my fear took
I'm thinking once I learn to soak up every moment
I'll realize my life's already good
Already good
Already good
Life's already good
I'll realize my life's already good
Thank God that my life's already good
The song "Getting Good" by Lauren Alaina discusses the common misconception that once certain things in life fall into place, such as falling in love or obtaining material possessions like money, a car, or a house, one will finally achieve happiness. However, the reality is that even after achieving these things, there is often still an underlying feeling of emptiness or dissatisfaction. Alaina compares this feeling to a hole that cannot be filled no matter how much one achieves.
The chorus of the song offers a different perspective, suggesting that instead of constantly searching for fulfillment outside of oneself, one should focus on personal growth and learning to appreciate the present moment. Alaina uses different examples throughout the song to illustrate this point, such as learning to "grow right where I'm planted" and "soak up every moment."
The song also touches on the theme of mortality, as Alaina expresses her fear of her parents dying and her desire to cherish every moment with them while she still can. This further emphasizes the idea of appreciating and finding contentment in the present rather than constantly searching for it in the future.
Overall, "Getting Good" encourages listeners to shift their perspective and find happiness within themselves and the present moment rather than constantly striving for external validation and material possessions.

What the hell is wrong with 1.5k people who disliked this video? If you don't like country music - fine, but the lyrics alone in this song are fenominal and so truthful. Who in their right mind would dislike this? Seriously?!

😎😎😎 I'll tell you why Lauren Alaina can't make it in music business. She is angry at the world cuz she can't make money making music! Pathetic loser.
About 11 years ago, there was a boy who committed suicide because Lauren Alaina bullied him! That's why so many people hate her. so you know what's going on. She harassed and bullied him until he killed himself! Yes, he was gay!🤔🤔🤔🤔. Now, she's bullying the 2021 American Idol winner Chayce Beckham online! with her thousand fake accounts. She posted nasty/horrible comments about him in his music videos, then she uses her fake accounts to respond to her own comments so it looks like someone else is talking to her. This loser is angry at the world because she can't make money making music! This loser has no life!
