Stephanie, played by Julianna Rose Mauriello: The character who inspired the citizens (and most importantly, the children) of LazyTown to get up and go. She is an 8 year old whose hair, outfits and accessories are pink. She came to town to visit her uncle, the mayor of LazyTown. At first, Stephanie attempted to get the kids to go outside and play, but she was foiled by Robbie Rotten when he tempted the kids with "lazy" things. But when she asked for Sportacus' help, the whole town worked together to make LazyTown the best place to live. Stephanie loves to dance. She dreams of studying dance at a famous dance school. Her motto is, "There's Always a Way!"
Lazy Town's video, "Cooking By The Book," has stirred up much controversy over the mass amount of older males leaving less than appropriate comments on the video's youtube page.

Yar har fiddle-dee-dee, being a pirate is alright with me!
Do what you want 'cause a pirate is free, you are a pirate!
You are a pirate! (Yay!)
We got us a map (a map) to lead us to a hidden box
We'll dig up the box (the box), we know it's full of precious booty
Bust open the locks, and then we'll say "hooray!"
Yar har fiddle-dee-dee
If you love to sail the sea, you are a pirate!
Weigh anchor!
Yar har fiddle-dee-dee, being a pirate is alright with me!
Do what you want 'cause a pirate is free, you are a pirate!
Arr yarr ahoy and avast, dig at dirt and you dig at it fast!
Hang the black flag at the end of the mast! You are a pirate!
We're sailing away (set sail), adventure waits on every shore!
We set sail and explore (ya-har) and run and jump all day (Yay)
We float on our boat (the boat) until its time to drop the anchor
Then hang up our coats (aye-aye) until we sail again!
Yar har fiddle-dee-dee
If you love to sail the sea, you are a pirate!
Land ho!
Yar har fiddle-dee-dee, being a pirate is alright with me!
Do what you want 'cause a pirate is free, you are a pirate!
Yar har wind at your back lads, wherever you go!
Blue sky above and blue ocean below, you are a pirate!
You are a pirate!
The lyrics to Lazy Town's song You Are A Pirate seem, on the surface, to promote the freedom and excitement of piracy. The song speaks to a sense of adventure and exploration, with the pirates singing about their map leading them to a hidden box of treasure. The lyrics encourage listeners to embrace their inner pirate, with the recurring line "Do what you want 'cause a pirate is free". The song celebrates the pirate life, with the pirates setting sail on their adventure, exploring, running, and jumping all day.
However, there is a darker undertone to the lyrics. While the pirates are singing about their adventure, they are simultaneously breaking the law, stealing someone else's treasure, and perhaps even harming innocent people. The song glorifies this lifestyle and encourages listeners to adopt it as their own, without acknowledging the potential consequences. Despite this, the song remains incredibly catchy and is popular with both children and adults alike.
