LeGrand is a Swedish band from Malmö. The band was formed in Lund 1999 under the name Hype by the members Anders Tillaeus, Sinisa Krnjaic, Martin Lundgren and Mats Wallander. The following year, Anders' older brother Fredrik Tillaeus became a member and the band moved to Malmö. 2001 Mats was replaced by Martin’s younger brother Fabian Lundgren, and the same year, the band changed its name to LeGrand. The first album was released in October 2005.

BIOGRAPHY:
By 2000, LeGrand had taken its first baby steps towards what the band is today. Fabian had replaced Mats on the guitar and the band had started rehearsing at Kajplats 305 in Malmö instead of the usually flooded basement in Lund. Still a five-piece-band of old friends and brothers who spent days, weeks and months together, writing material, figuring out which way to go, what to sound like. Creating LeGrand, so to speak. Once satisfied, or at least had the feeling of being on the right track, they set out to play their music live.

Under strange circumstances or a twist of fate, call it what you like, one of the band’s demos came into the hands of Anders 'Theo' Theander, the owner of the recording studio and management company RoastingHouse, who really liked what he heard. Soon the song 'Calling You' was put on their compilation disc and spread to record companies worldwide.

During the summer of 2003 LeGrand started recording what would become their debut album, and in May 2005 the band signed with RoastingHouse Records. The album entitled 'LeGrand', was released October 14th 2005 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, July 18th in the US and September 6th in Sweden. LeGrand has never been about spending most of the time recording instead of performing live. They have always felt more at home on stage. That’s what and where it’s all about. Facing the crowd. Immediate response. Making moments.
