Bang!
Le Butcherettes Lyrics

He's still conservative when the blood leaks out
Chapman and Lennon on the side street talking
Next thing you hear is a bang spreading over
You love me, you love me and now you wanna kill me
You love me, you love me and now you wanna kill me
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!
Next thing you see is their army banning serenata
Look at the school shooting, he killed over sixteen girls
Next thing you read is bang in the newspapers
You love me, you love me and now you wanna kill me
You love me, you love me and now you wanna kill me
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!
You love me, you love me and now you wanna ugh-ugh
You love me, you love me and now you wanna one, two, three, four
You love me, you love me and now you wanna Hu-Ha!
You love me, you love me and now you wanna kill me!
Look at him politic wants to blow his brains out
He's still conservative when the blood leaks out
Chapman and Lennon on the side street talking
Next thing you hear is bang spreading over
You love me, you love me and now you wanna kill me
You love me, you love me and now you wanna kill me
You love me, you love me and now you wanna kill me
You love me, you love me and now you wanna kill me
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!
The lyrics of Le Butcherettes' song, "Bang!" criticize the hypocrisy of politicians and powerful figures who espouse a conservative ideology yet engage in violent behavior, as demonstrated by the reference to John Lennon's assassination by Mark David Chapman. The song also emphasizes the consequences of such violence, using examples such as school shootings and military interventions. The repetition of "you love me, you love me and now you wanna kill me" can be interpreted as a plea for peace and understanding, highlighting the absurdity of violence.
The verses of the song paint a dark picture of contemporary society, where power is often held by those who are willing to use violence for their own gain. However, the chorus provides a contrast, with its energetic and repetitive exclamation of "bang, bang, bang". This can be seen as a critique of the media and entertainment industry, which often glamorize violence and perpetuate a cycle of aggression and conflict.
Overall, "Bang!" is a powerful commentary on the state of the world, calling for an end to violence and a re-evaluation of our values and beliefs.
