After starting her career in area rock music, she created a rock group named after her in Brampton, Ontario. Aaron was with that band when she released her first long play in 1982. By 1990, she was one of the more well known Canadian singers in the world with the help of her Bodyrock album which sold more than 200 000 copies.
In 1996, Aaron joined with three former members of the band Sons of Freedom in the one-off band 2preciious.

Lee Aaron Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I slept 'bout an hour or so
I smile a little in the silence
Deciding on where to go
"Meet me under the whale in the Natural History Museum"
I think that's what he said
A little sad about having to go there
Yawning in the sun, like a child I run
But don't do it if you don't want to
I wouldn't do a thing like that
Blue is a pretty colour
The sky so very large
Our love it is a liquid sunshine
So drink up all you can
So little do you think of beauty
Isn't it a shame whoa-ho-ho
You think that a little flowering
Is gonna make your troubles go
Don't you think it's time
To hear some of your mind
Uh don't do it if you don't want to
I wouldn't do a thing like that
Don't do it if you don't want to
I wouldn't do a thing like that
I don't wanna do it
Yawning in the sun, like a child I run
But don't do it if you don't want to
I wouldn't do a thing like that
Don't do it if you don't want to
I wouldn't do a thing like that

The lyrics of Lee Aaron's "Museum" evoke a sense of wanderlust and a longing for adventure. The opening lines convey a carefree attitude towards life, as the singer drinks sweet wine for breakfast and sleeps for only an hour before embarking on a journey. The sense of uncertainty and indecision experienced by the singer is reflected in their contemplative mood as they decide where to go. The line "Meet me under the whale in the Natural History Museum" suggests the possibility of a romantic rendezvous, but the singer also feels a sense of sadness at the prospect of having to go there.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the importance of personal freedom and individual choice. The lines "Don't do it if you don't want to, I wouldn't do a thing like that" assert the right to make one's own decisions and to live life on one's own terms. The song also contains a subtle critique of societal norms and expectations, as the singer sings "So little do you think of beauty, isn't it a shame whoa-ho-ho, You think that a little flowering, is gonna make your troubles go." This line suggests that society places too much emphasis on material possessions and superficial beauty, without addressing deeper issues.
