No candle flickers without the first spark that entices the fire...to grow...
You'll never see a man or woman...
Without love how can they survive...
(We all need, the strength of one)
(We all need, the flesh and blood)
(To feed our hearts, and fill our souls)
Show me a rainbow that shines through the eye of the storm...
With each tomorrow, there is a new love that waits for a chance to be born...
You'll never see a man or woman...
Without love how can they survive...
(We all need, the strength of one)
(We all need, the flesh and blood)
(To feed our hearts, and fill our souls)
(We're only human)
I need somebody who can share my whole life away...
Give me something to believe...
I need somebody who can make my life complete...
Ooh.. yeah, you'll never see a man or woman...
Without love how can they survive...
(We all need, the strength of one)
(We all need, the flesh and blood)
(To feed our hearts, and fill our souls)
(We're only human)..
(We all need, the strength of one)
(We all need, the flesh and blood)
(To feed our hearts, and fill our souls)
(We're only human)...
(We're only human)
(We're only human)...
I'm only human....
The lyrics of Lee Aaron's song "Only Human" speak to the human need for love and connection. The opening lines ask for a river that can flow without an ocean, a metaphor for the human search for fulfillment and purpose beyond just survival. The following lines speak to the importance of the initial spark of love that ignites a passion in the heart, leading to growth and nourishment. The song reminds us that while we all have our flaws and weaknesses, we are all human and require love and connection to survive.
The chorus repeats the mantra "We all need, the strength of one, we all need, the flesh and blood, to feed our hearts, and fill our souls, we're only human." This repetition emphasizes the idea that no matter how strong or independent we may try to be, we still need the support and love of others in order to truly thrive.
The final verse of the song speaks to the desire for a partner who can share one's life and make it complete. The song ends on the note that we are all only human, with a repetition of the chorus that affirms the importance of love and connection in our lives.
