Waiting For You
Left Alone Lyrics

And I know times a' wasting
As I'm sitting here waiting for you
My life's full of heartbreak and sorrow
And I don't care if I see tomorrow
As I'm sitting here waiting for you
But tomorrow it'll be alright
As I'm sitting here waiting for you
And she said, "I don't feel right without you"
And she said, "I don't feel right without you"
Sitting all alone and I'm left to wonder
She dug my grave, wants me six feet under
As I'm sitting here waiting for you
I've lost direction, she turned off the light
And now my days are as dark as night
As I'm sitting here waiting for you
And she said, "I don't feel right without you"
And she said, "I don't feel right without you"
With an empty glass and an empty heart
With an empty stare she ripped me apart
As I'm sitting here waiting for you
And I know things won't be the same
Nothing you will say won't change anything
As I'm sitting here waiting for you
And she said, "I don't feel right without you"
And she said, "I don't feel right without you"
The lyrics of Left Alone's song "Waiting For You" reflect the pain of waiting for someone who may never come back. The opening lines show the urgency of the situation – "things are changing and time's a' wasting." There is a sense of desperation in the singer's voice as he waits for his love to return. He is almost resigned to his fate as he sings, "my life's full of heartbreak and sorrow and I don't care if I see tomorrow."
There is a hint of hope as he sings, "tonight ended in a fight, but tomorrow it'll be alright," but it feels like fleeting optimism. The chorus repeats the line "I don't feel right without you" and it's clear that the singer is lost without his love. He feels like he's been cast aside and left to rot as he waits for her to return. The imagery of an empty glass, an empty heart, and an empty stare all contribute to the sense of loss and emptiness that he's experiencing.
Ultimately, the lyrics of "Waiting For You" capture the pain of loving someone who may never come back. The singer is left helpless, waiting for something that may never happen. The song is a powerful expression of the human experience of lost love and the hope for reconciliation.
