Most deer hunting is done from trees, like 90% or more you rarely hunt deer from the ground. Keeps you out of field of view better

In Ohio the cartridge has to be 38 caliber or larger and the case has to be 1 inch or longer.
I have a messed up shoulder and the recoil from shotgun slugs are very painful.
I can't hit a bulls ass with a bow.
I have two sons that are very skilled archery hunters.
My oldest just got a nice 8 point last week.

@TJ Fisher ​​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠ well ya it wouldn’t be that impressive if it was with a shotgun or rifle but it is a pretty impressive shot with a PISTOL considering that he’s shooting at a downward angle which gives him A LOT less surface area to land a shot… and that’s not even including the adrenaline & pressure of knowing that if you miss this shot, you will not get a second try lol. So yes, if you’re shooting at a paper target from 10 yards with nothing to lose or gain if you miss wouldn’t be as impressive as landing a shot like this knowing that if you miss you go home with no fresh meat lol

​@TJ FisherOne handed while recording, plus all that adrenaline is not an easy shot. There's a reason hunters rarely go for headshots because the vital target area is so small. If this guy were to miss by just one inch he could hit its eye or jaw, and that deer would take off and have to suffer in pain.
