Lewis has become a multi-platinum selling artist and three time Grammy Award nominee. She was proclaimed 'Top New Artist' by Billboard magazine in 2008. Her two albums Spirit and Echo, released in 2007 and 2009 respectively, have collectively sold in excess of 10 million copies worldwide and topped the charts in numerous countries. Lewis's debut tour, The Labyrinth, took place in 2010. As of December 2012, Lewis has sold 28 million records worldwide. Her third album Glassheart was released 12 October 2012. It was preceded by the single "Collide", which became her seventh top-five hit in the UK. With the release of Hurt: The EP and "Trouble", Lewis has had nine top-ten hits in the UK.
Lewis' debut single A Moment Like This became the fastest selling UK single after being downloaded over 50,000 times within thirty minutes of its release. Her second single, Bleeding Love, reached number one positions in over thirty singles charts around the world. In November 2008 she set a record in the UK for the fastest selling download-only release with her cover version of the Snow Patrol song Run which sold 69,244 copies in two days. Lewis's debut tour, The Labyrinth, started in 2010.
Lewis was born in the London Borough of Islington, to Aural Josiah "Joe" Lewis of Afro-Guyanese descent, and Maria Lewis of Welsh, Italian and Irish descent. Her parents enrolled her at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, and from there she attended the Italia Conti Academy and the BRIT School, where she learned to play instruments such as the guitar and piano, in the hope of becoming a singer-songwriter. Lewis wrote her first full-length song at the age of 12. She initially trained in opera, but went on to singing jazz and blues, eventually leading to popular music, citing Minnie Riperton, Eva Cassidy and Stevie Wonder as her main influences. After leaving the BRIT School at 17, she took a number of jobs to fund studio time, recording a demo album called Twilight. The album, almost exclusively comprising her own compositions, was recorded under Spiral Music, a production company based in Fulham. "I tried to secure a record deal by doing things my own way. I worked very hard but I never managed to land a contract", said Lewis. Other demos were recorded under licence from UEG Entertainment, later included on an album called Best Kept Secret. However, none of Lewis's demos were released and she considered taking a hiatus from her music career to attend university until her boyfriend persuaded her to enter The X Factor which subsequently severed her connections with UEG.
Songfacts says that Collide, the first single from Leona Lewis's third album finds her taking a more dance pop route than on her previous material. She said, "I'm excited for people to see a different side to my music. I'm a fan of so many different genres and styles. For me this song has all the great ingredients of a summer anthem." The song got its first play on Scott Mills' Radio One show on July 15, 2011 and will be released on September 4, 2011.
Lewis' third studio album, Glassheart, is due for release in 2012.

Once or twice was enough and it was all in vain
Time starts to pass, before you know it, you're frozen, ooh
But something happened for the very first time with you
My heart melts into the ground, found something true
And everyone's looking 'round, thinking I'm going crazy, oh
But I don't care what they say
They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open
Oh yeah
Trying hard not to hear, but they talk so loud
Their piercing sounds fill my ears, try to fill me with doubt
Yet I know that their goal is to keep me from falling, hey, oh
But nothing's greater than the rush that comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness, I see your face
Yet everyone around me thinks that I'm going crazy
Maybe, maybe
But I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open, mm, mm
And it's draining all of me
Though they find it hard to believe
I'll be wearing these scars for everyone to see
I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing
Oh, you cut me open and I
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
Oh, you cut me open and I
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep
Oh, you cut me open and I
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
The lyrics to Leona Lewis's song "Bleeding Love" narrate the story of an individual who has become closed off from love due to past hurts and disappointments. They recount how they had experienced love before but it was all in vain and they did not need the pain. Time passes, and they become emotionally frozen until they experience something for the first time with a new partner that melts their heart and makes them feel something true. The individual admits that their newfound love seems to make others think that they are going crazy, but they do not care what anyone else thinks because their feelings are strong and genuine. Despite others trying to pull them away from this intense love, the individual admits they are in love with their partner, and their heart's vulnerability is a result of their partner cutting them open emotionally. They cannot help but continue to bleed for this love.
The lyrics in "Bleeding Love" are incredibly emotive and paint a vivid picture of the pain and vulnerability love can bring. The first verse describes how someone could become so closed off from love that they are unable to feel or experience it. They have been hurt so much in the past that they do not want to experience any more pain, which is illustrated by the line "once or twice was enough and it was all in vain." The pre-chorus opens up the possibility for something new when the individual feels something with their new partner for the first time, and the chorus resounds with the passion and intensity of their feelings for their partner.
Overall, "Bleeding Love" is a heartfelt exploration of what it is like to come out of emotional lockdown and allow oneself to become vulnerable in the face of love. It's an emotive and relatable song for anyone who has ever experienced the heart-wrenching pain of love.

A whole lot better than Contigo. Nothing beats the original, as I heard Contigo I immediately remembered Bleeding Love.

Idk personally I like both. Sometimes artists sample songs like Ava max. Maybe Karol G did the same
@AzzyBerry
@@dododo8874I don’t think sampling is bad but nowadays I just don’t see any Justice with those samples. They’re all piggyback riding off of the samples instead of really making it unique and actually new.
I like many songs that use samples, shit I listen to kanye sometimes and he uses samples in every song. But songs nowadays just don’t feel authentic anymore imo :/
