Sea Of Fire
Leslie West Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Don't know how it happened, it seems like everything's changed;
Your crying heart and your tears I want to wash them away.

I would sooner walk through a sea of
Fire, I'd sooner walk through a sea of fire,
Walk through a sea of fire than lose you and me ...
Second Verse
The occasional sound, the stopping of time;
I feel it grab at my inside;
My heart, my heart falls to the floor;
I suddenly no longer feel secure;

Don't know how it happened, it seems like everything's changed;
Your crying heart and your tears I want to wash them away.

First of all, I do appreciate you posting this great song by Leslie But, I think you need to get a new pair of ears For many of us who are Leslie West fans, this is a favorite album because of the diversity Plus, Leslie can still play in three notes with more fire and spirit than most guitarists "Treadin Water?" What a stupid statement to make about such a guitar legend

Don, I agree whole heartedly. Leslie West plays one note and I wanna scream with emotion. No one has that kind of feel or vibrato and this album although different than most of his stuff is nothing short of fantastic. I suspect it was something done ina private studio from the production but damn, he explodes.

Leslie West is a brilliant guitarist and this album is actually one of my favourite albums ever. I've kept coming back to it time and again since I bought it over 25 years ago.

The entire album may me half-assed but this track is a MONSTER (IMHO)! This and "Waiting For The F Change" are worth the price alone. I may only be me though...
