Jacob Ryan, is a successful independent rap artist under the rap name The Raskal, who most recently won West Coast Artist Of The Year @ The Under Ground Music Awards in New York in December 2015. The Raskal has also had major write ups in The Source, allhiphop.com, World Star Hip Hop, along with other big features.
Jonathan Russell is most known for his amazing talents as the vocalist in his own band, Stands With Fists. Stands With Fists has had a lot of independent success as well doing several huge events such as Knot Fest & KFMAβs Fall Ball just to name a few. Jacob reached out to Jonathan back in July, with an idea and concept never before seen or done in Tucson. A fusion of hardcore passionate hip hop lyrics, blended with high energy, aggressive metal tones and rhythms. The one thing missing was a band to make it all come together. Using his deep connections in the Tucson metal scene, Jonathan reached out to a young talented group of musicians to finalize this new super group. Guitarists Lawrence McIntyre & Jesse Espich team up with drummer James Ringstrom, and bassist Alex Parra to provide a unique, yet marketable sound to accompany Jonathanβs wide vocal range and dynamic melodies, as well as Jacobβs gritty yet clever rhymes and distinct voice.
Their debut single βStrength Through Struggleβ has done amazing numbers, and is available on all major digital music outlets. The band released their follow up single and very first music video βVoicesβ on their YouTube channel Friday January 15, 2016. The band then followed up with their first studio recorded EP βSex Is Powerβ, which made an immediate impact charting as high as #8 on Itunes for new releases for the Rock Genre, and stayed at #1 on Amazon for new alternative metal release for the first 2 weeks. This music if you even wanna call it that straight up SUCKS!! Fucking horrible, washed up, get a new style. Even if this style of garbage was still in, you guys would be OUT. The fact that SRH and Suburban Noize actually invited you LAMES to their MiniFezt with KMK and HedPE just goes to show you guys that Kevin Zinger and his entourage of old and dilapidated musicians need to hang up their hats and call it quits. I dont know about KMK cuz I've never been a huge fan even though their from my hometown of Orange County just like HedPE which WAS one of my favorite NuMetal bands of the late 90's all the through to 2012 but now... now their music along with the 2 NAC's that replaced Jaxson and Mawk straight SUCK!! This is a sad scenario it truly is and I promise you that show on Friday night, that mini SRH Fest or whatever they want to call it is it going to be a sad show. The last Hed PE show I went to here in Arizona was my very first time seeing HED outside of California and that crowd was pathetic just like their music. Their best bet along with everyone else at that show with Lethal Injektion being the very first, need to bury their hats along with their heads and Beat Feet. Clearly the music of Lethal Injection is nowhere even close to sounding mediocre and if they want to continue making fools out of themselves they should take some lessons from musician that are actually musician's. And that's the nicest way I could have made this message. I know guys the truth hurts but at least it's the truth.
