Lightcraft are currently writing new materials for a follow-up, although whether it will be an EP or a full-length album remains to be seen.
The original line-up consisted of Imam Mbudz, Fari, Patrick, Enrico, Indra, and Latief, but after their graduation from university, only Imam Mbudz remains in Malaysia whereas Fari, Enrico, Indra and Latief are currently in Indonesia, while Patrick is now in Portsmouth, England. Even with the distance that separates them, Lightcraft is still going strong, with frontman Imam actively gigging with a new line-up consisting of Efry (who joined before the band graduated to replace Indra, who left earlier than the rest), Izhar, and Chino.
Lightcraft has performed in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia, and they are aiming to spread their wings further than ever before, with the hope of playing to a wider, global audience.
Bonfire
Lightcraft Lyrics

I don't see many changes
Feel the winter cold
I feel I've been away
Away for ages
Bonfires burning
Bright as red
I feel I want to stay And I feel I don't want to go To go away
Truth to be told I don't have much time Anymore We're all getting old But I feel you haven't aged Even a single day A single day
The lyrics to Lightcraft's song Bonfire depict a feeling of coming back home after a long time away. The singer doesn't see many changes but feels the winter cold and as if they've been away for ages. The bonfire is burning bright, as bright as the face of the person they are with. Although the singer feels like they want to stay, truth be told, they don't have much time left as we are all getting older. Yet, it feels like the person they are with hasn't aged a day.
The lyrics evoke a sense of nostalgia for the singer's past and a recognition of the fleeting nature of time. The bonfire, as a symbol of warmth and light, represents the connection between the present moment and the singer's memories of the past. The singer longs to stay in this moment of connection, just as they long to stay connected to the person they are with who seems to defy the passage of time.
Overall, Bonfire is a poignant reflection on the transience of life and the power of the present moment to bring us closer to the people and experiences that matter most to us.
