Way of Life
Ligion Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Fear is your best friend, when failure is at the other end
Blind is your next move, or stuck you will be forever inside this room
Down, sometimes I get so down, when my mind has time to cry
Down, I don't know the reasons why… yeah
This is just a way of life, this is just the way it is sometimes
This is just a way of life, this is what we choose, this is what we choose
Motivation is not your muse, despair, rockbottom, boredom, push you, push you
Well I'm stale and stagnant again, haven't we dealt with this before
Different faces they have, but both have been to my door
Down, sometimes I get so down, when my mind has time to cry
Down, I don't know the reasons why… yeah
This is just a way of life, this is just the way it is sometimes
This is just a way of life, this is what we choose
This is just a way of life, this is just the way it is sometimes
This is just a way of life, this is what we choose
This is what
(Way of life, way it is sometimes)
This is just way of life
This is just the way of life
This is just the way it is sometimes
This is just a way of life, this is just the way it is sometimes
This is just a way of life, this is what we choose
This is just a way, this is just a way, this is just a way

What we choose
(Way of life, way it is sometimes)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Ligion's song "Way of Life" touch upon themes of fear, despair, and stagnation that many individuals may experience in their lives. The opening line suggests that instead of letting fear hold us back, we should embrace it as a companion that can push us to overcome failure. The idea of being blind to our next move implies that sometimes we get stuck and fail to see a way out of our current circumstances.

The chorus emphasizes the idea that this struggle is simply a part of life and something that we choose to endure. It acknowledges that motivation may not always be readily available, and instead, we find ourselves driven by feelings of despair, rock bottom, and boredom. The repetition of feeling "down" and not knowing the reasons why expresses a sense of frustration and confusion.

The second verse suggests that the singer has experienced similar situations before, with different individuals crossing their path. This could imply that despite different circumstances and people, they continue to face similar challenges. The song concludes with a repetition of the chorus, emphasizing that this is just the way of life - a choice we make.

What's the problem for anyone, my way of life is called Hinduism and I am a Hindu
In my country, in my nation, India THE BHARATH where my forefathers lived, why can't I have a name to my faith, when the other,'s beliefs are recognized on the name of minority. Say boldly my faith is called HINDUISM. Followers are called Hindus. What do they practice. They practice Sanatana Dharma.
On what basis the minority is calculated. Was it on the basis of religion the so called evangelists, or islam.
If we are secular country from where does the religion came for them.
We have done the great mistake of this minority business.
See in our own country we can't say with a name as Hindu.
Have we to go and hide ourselves in a cave .
Pl declare this nation as Hinduisthan..
Those who can't abide by this nation's rules they can always leave the country.
Yes, Modiji Sir make this possible to save the Sanathana Dharma for future generations.
When every dick and harry has faith and give a name to it ,why can't I have a name to it, and I am bold to say that. If there is no name for my faith, then no other religion should be existing on the name of minority in our secular country.
Secular should be applicable for all citizens not only for Hindus.
On the name of secular a foreign word we still hang on to that word.
Pl find out a correct meaning for this from our vedas and give a shock to the antinationals.
Thank you.

Outside the Abrahamic dichotomy of Religion vs Atheism, where they just cannot coexist and see eye to eye,

Imagine an all-encompassing "School of Thought" that gives space to both theism and Atheism with equal respect, and which is an "open platform" to discuss, and really not conformist, and does not emphasize "Faith" but only concerned with "Seeking the Truth." Such an "open platform" for both theism and atheism to coexist and figure out the Truth, that "school of thought" is "Dharma" or Hinduism, which encompasses "multiple Religions that are coherent with Vedas, all ideas of all GodS of all religions, both theism and atheism and a class of philosophies developed out of Vedic series of books, both theist and atheist", that all-encompassing School of Thought is Hinduism or "Dharma." It's not a religion, it's a "class of philosophies."

There are too many misconceptions about Hinduism and Hindus. As an Atheist I urge everyone to rethink Hinduism and understand what it really is, instead of shoving it as a mere Religion, which it's not. Even the judgment of the Supreme Court of India says Hinduism or "Dharma" is not a "religion," bound by Fundamentalist books and Super-Natural Faith only.
And there's no fundamental concept of Casteism in Hinduism, no matter what some Hinduphobes say, with their poor understanding of Dharma, while translating Hinduism or Dharma into a Religion, from their Abrahamised Fundamentalist perspective. The central thing of Hinduism, that they have no idea of, is that Hinduism is not a Fundamentalist Book bounde Religion. It's not a Religion, as it encompasses both theists and Atheists. It's something radically different to well-learned Hindus, contrary to the Abrahamic concept of book-bound Fundamentalist Religion.

To understand Hinduism, you must remember these things,

"Religion is Failed Science." -Sam Harris
Science doesn't come from Vedas. Vedas come from Science. #ScienceOverReligion

If you're not a mazhabi, but a "Dharmik", then always remember the Principles of Bibekananda.

1. Never be a Fundamentalist fanatic.
2. Always put Science and Humanism over the Scriptures, and don't be afraid to reject anything unscientific inhuman things that you may come across while reading the Scriptures.
3. Everything Unscientific in the Scriptures should be treated as mistakes by the philosophers and scribes writing down the Dharmik books. And everything inhuman you come across are malformations in scriptures interpolated by the malevolent scribes.
4. Dharma is not Religion, as Theists and Atheists both are equal Dharmiks, and Theists have no higher ground over Atheists in Dharma.
5. "Dharma Raj" listens to both Gita and Charvak Rishi. Dharma is never conformist. And the moment Dharma puts Faith over Science and refuses to reject any part of the Scripture as being false, and the moment theists stops listening to the Atheists, and the moment Dharma denounces Atheism as being one of the most important legit position, and only Science can show the clue of deciding between theism and atheism, the moment Dharma denounces that it ceases to be "Dharma."
6. Dharma is not the way of Faith. Dharma is a way of SEEKING. Truth is even greater than God. Even Gods in Dharmik imaginations are shown to be seeking the Truth.
7. Vedas themselves are promoting Agnosticism. The standard position of Dharma is Agnostic.
8. But Vedas cannot ever be questioned with anything other than Science. No other Scripture in the whole world of any Belief System has superiority over Vedas, Upanishads, Gita, and all other Hindu Dharmik books.
9. Atheism is absolutely fine and Dharmik books shall ideally always be read from a pure Scientific Agnostic standpoint to find the gems hidden in the Hindu scriptures and reject the unscientific things and inhuman things mercilessly. But, pure atheism is fine, but "FAITH" OPPOSITE TO VEDAS IS ADHARMA. Therefore even Atheists are Dharmiks, and if they establish their points with Science then you should listen to them over all Scriptures, but never leave the useful knowledge of the Dharmik books, and even as an Atheist you should be an "Atheist Hindu" just like "Vaishnav Hindu", but all Abrahamic Fundamentalist believers who KNOWINGLY deny Vedas and Gita out of contradictory unscientific "Faith," they all are Adharmi. Adharmis shall be tolerated. But if your last place to stand is attacked then you have to pushback, like in Mahabharata.
10. Always enquire the Scriptures from a Scientific perspective, and don't hesitate a bit in rejecting anything unscientific that you may come across within the Scriptures. Always put Science over Scriptures and Faith if you're a true "Dharmik" in contrary to the Religion or Mazhab. Take whatever that suits you as Good and reject whatever that you find bad or unscientific. This's truly what Reformed Modern Hinduism of Bibekananda teaches.
11. Science is the most FUNDAMENTAL pillar of "Dharma," on the contrary to Religion. Vedas and Gita are "Central" to Dharma, but not "Fundamental." Hinduism is absolutely not Fundamentalist.
Scriptural Fundamentalism is Fundamental "Adharma" as Bibekananda suggested.

Dharma is NOT Faith. Dharma is Seeking and walking on the path of Truth.
And certainly, Science is the ONLY Truth we Know.

"Dharma : Seeking, Truthful Good Actions, ONEness (Oneness with the Universe, Oneness with ALL Humanity, Oneness with Everything)"

This is Hinduism or one and only "Dharma" as per Saint Swami Bibekananda.

Anyone who finds value in Hindu Scriptures are Hindus, be it a theist or an Atheist. This's the definition of being Hindu.

To a well-learned "Dharmik" Hindu, Atheists like Carl Sagan or Oppenheimer too are Hindus, as they saw value in Hindu philosophies and the Bharatiya (Indian) School of Thought.

Especially most of the Hindus you see abroad consciously reject (not reinterpreting or being apologist, just straight away rejects) parts or the Scriptures and still call themselves Hindus. It's unthinkable for any Muslim or other abrahamiks. Therefore nothing is more stupid than accusing Hindus of Casteism or any other ill practices, cause first of all it's not Caste that the Scriptures speak about, and Hindus are not bound by the Scriptures. It's pathetic to see people equating Islam and Hinduism.

"Hindu" is hardly a religious identity. It's a cultural identity. And Atheists are Hindus as well, who are connected to the philosophy of Bharat that is India. In fact, Hindus regularly pay tribute to the Atheist Sages. In fact, World's biggest gatherings occur in the "Kumbh Mela" by Hindus in respect of the Atheist Sage "Kapil Muni." Atheists who respectfully honestly explain Vedas or Gita or other Hindu books and literature from Scientific and Humanist perspectives, Hindus consider them as Sages. And for an Atheist, Hinduism should be considered as the "First Line of Defense" for real Secularism, against Abrahamic barbarianism.

1) Undivided Indian Subcontinent i.e Akhanda Bharath Ganarajya was 100% Hindu Vedic Polytheistic and Pluralistic Civilization, Culture and Identity since 9000 years of existence.
2) Bharathvarsh had always existed unitedly even before 1947 as an Indic/Vedic/Hindhavi Civilization without the Westphalial European Invention of a concept called "Nation State Borders"...
This Nation Concept is just 500 years old, which was enforced by League of Nations Committee ignoring the Indian and Chinese Civilizational History.
3) Bharath Ganarajya even before the birth of this Middle East Dessert Country Originated Monotheistic Abrahamic Cult Ideology (Judaism,Islam and Christianity) Christianity) ; had its own indigenous Native Polytheistic and Pluralistic Culture called
"Sanathana DHARMA" (i.e Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism) which is NOT = Religion.
Religion is an Abrahamic Template.
Anything outside of these 4 Supreme Dharma, is basically 'Adharma'/Non Dharmic'...
Thus, this meansAbrahamic Cult (origin Middle East Dessert Country) = Religion. And
Dharma which is Indian subcontinent Culture is Not = 3 Abrahamism Cult.
4) All Muslims and Christians of Indian Subcontinent (Pakistan+India+Bangladesh) were Hindus and unfortunately CONVERTED to Abrahamism and sadly not taught about REAL History ...be it in Convent Schools or Madhrasas.

Whoever said it that, "Hinduism is way of life." Even though said it just casually or freely, but made us screw under the eyes and laws of so called Constitution...

I mean we Hindus can't even define what exactly is Hinduism, we have various definitions like It's Dharma and Way of Life, and Eternal Dharma or that Which has no set too f proper practices which are written in only one book, or whatever you feel like doing or following you can there is no restriction or forceful Conversions etc. Oh Hinduism is not even a thing is a word coined by the Persians it's Dharma and blah blah blah...

All these definitions and attitudes and beliefs of us towards Hinduism itself made our life fcked up as we are ourselves confused 🤔🤦🤦🤦...

First we should clear our misconceptions about it and then preach it to others and gyaan bato...

Otherwise this will not help anyone and we will be Straitjacketed like this forever...

This kind of leniency as made our own Culture strip to it's last glory since last 1000+ yrs ...
We should take charge of this and Accountability in every sense....

OUR NATION _ OUR AYURVEDA

What is DHARMA?

People have different assumptions on Dharma like as it is related to one community but Dharma is applicable to entire universe.

DHARMA is the Character, Moral merit, Virtue, prescribed course of conduct, duty, ethics, Righteousness, Justice, Impartiality, An essential Quality to practice, Ordinance, custom, Adhikaranam (Administration of Law) based on Dharma. Dharma includes Aacharya Dharma, Raja Dharma, Pitru Dharma, Pathi Dharma, Patni Dharma like wise...and Dharma DOESN'T have types based on different communities and Such Dharma was in practice since from the time immemorial and very ancient and now it is called with the name SANATANA DHARMA.

Since from the last 2600 years, some people came up with their own principles with selfishness, hatredness, and formed the different communities during different time period and destroyed the character of DHARMA and Transformed many people with weapon, Killed millions of people and to establish Dharma, many people sacrificed their life from Adishankaracharya ( 5th to 7th century BC ) to recent Dayananda Saraswathi ( 1824 - 1883 ) executed the actions in different ways with respect to the situation of that specific time period of the land.

My dear follower's of SANATANA DHARMA, Know your culture, custom and tradition and practice it extensively and uncompromisingly and educate others who are in trap and who's ideological thought process is contrary to SANATANA DHARMA once they belong to it.

Sanatana dharma is not a way of life and even if it is so then which way and what way???

I am in gratitude to Mr Sai Deepak for his deep commitment and intense efforts to revive the ancient ethos of this land and Hindu civilization in particular. I have started reading his book India called Bharat, however ,I wish this was in a little simpler language for an already a complex issue which has so many knots and intricacies.

Gopal Ramanathan

Sai Deepak deserves all the support that we can give in the selfish interest of everyone of us Dharmics 🙏🏼🕉

The Supreme court is playing a crooked game here. Too many privileges handed over to alien faiths while native Hinduism is kept totally suppressed. They went after Sabarimala too!

HariVayuGuru

It is high time that the definition needs to be re-phrased so that there would be no more confusion to mitigate the gap and protect hinduism/religion/Dharma

Gopal Ramanathan

High time Dharma is restored to its supreme position in the land of its birth 🙏🏼🕉🙏🏼

EXACTLY.
I have seen many people trigger (specially those who hold little conservative views) when i say dont compare our dharma to abrahamic concept of religion. That
Our Dharma is OUR way of life.
Our Dharma is the Indic way of life.
People who are triggered by this and deny this are doing nothing but reducing Bharat from a 5000 year old civilization to a 75 year old geographical location, which governs itself with a 72 year old document and has a hInDu mAjOriTy and a mUsLiM mInOriTy.
Our Dharma is more than a religion, Its a way of life in Bharat, Its the culture of Bharat , Its the soul of Bharat, this statement essentially means Bharat is a Hindu rashtra.
