Beginning his career, from 2011 to 2012, Durk released his debut, un-official mixtape, Iโm a Hitta which was released on August 26, 2011. On April 3, 2012, Durk released his sophomore mixtape, a sequel to his previous tape, Iโm Still a Hitta. Durka later released his third mixtape on November 5, 2012, titled Life Ainโt No Joke
Like many drill artists, Durkโs early career was plagued with legal issues and accusations of violence. These issues eventually led to his shows being canceled.
From 2013 to 2015 Durk released a total of four projects, three mixtapes, and an album. October 10, 2013, marked the release of the first Signed to the Streets, one of Durkโs most notable mixtapes and the start of a series. In the summer of 2014, specifically July 4, Durk released a sequel to Signed to the Streets and released Signed to the Streets 2 featuring his โWhat You Do to Meโ.
2015 would be an enormous year for Lil Durk as in July 2015, Durk released his debut studio album, Remember My Name which featured his Jeremih-assisted โLike Me.โ Later that year, Durk released his sixth mixtape 300 Days 300 Nights which included his then-girlfriend, Dej Loaf-assisted, โMy Beyoncรฉ.โ
From 2016 to 2017, Durk released a total of four solo projects and one collaborative project. On July 22, 2016, Durk released his sophomore studio album, Lil Durk 2X accompanied by features such as Future, Young Thug, Yo Gotti and more. Ending the year, Durk released They Forgot, his seventh mixtape.
Beginning 2017, in February, Durk released his seventh mixtape, Love Songs for the Streets, which is deemed as one of his most notable projects including features from Moneybagg Yo and YFN Lucci. Later that year in August, Durk released a collaborative EP with Lil Reese titled Supa Vultures; the project included his โNobody Knowsโ. On October 19, 2017, Durk carried on with his Signed to the Streets series with the highly anticipated Signed to the Streets 2.5. The mixtape included the start of yet another song series titled โIndiaโ dedicated to his fiancรฉ India Cox otherwise known as India Royale.
In 2018, Durk released two projects, he began with Just Cause Y'all Waited, Durkโs highest-charting mixtape peaking at #57 on the Billboard 200. Durk then released a sequel to Love Songs for the Streets titled Love Songs 4 the Streets 2. Durk was extremely successful prior to this album, however, many say that this exact album broke Durk into the mainstream rap industry as it had been his first project to chart in the top 10 of the Billboard 200.
2020 was an even better year for Lil Durk as he released his almost chart-topping Just Cause Yโall Waited 2 which peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200. It was later followed up with a deluxe.
The scars of violence run deep in Durkโs discography, particularly arising from the loss of OTF members Nunu (Nuski) and King Von at the hands of gunfire. Both artists are commemorated on his album The Voice, for which a deluxe version was released in 2021.
Anointing himself as the voice of the streets, Durk followed up this project with the release of the collaborative album The Voice of the Heroes with Lil Baby which brought the Chicago native artist his first #1 album.
Marking his first solo #1 album, in March 2022, Lil Durk released a melodramatic take on the deaths of his loved ones through an album titled 7220. The album became Durkโs first solo project to top the charts.

They told me it's all love, but I love all
I'm CashAppin' a couple hunnid whenever my brother call
Sometimes I like to scan the ledge, feel like I'm above 'em all
It was a joke when he copped out, now he wanna jump the wall
Them niggas always was some goofies gettin' jumped at malls
I was tired of fuckin' hoes, one more condom, I made the condom fall
Ayy, fuck the whole world no matter who involved
It's all love
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love
Man, it's all love
You can't love him without my brother 'cause it's all us
I'm off a Perc my brother Doodie off a small bust
But I'm a baller, but I pass the ball like, "Yeah, hut"
Gotta watch them cheesy, sneaky bitches, they be stealin' nut
I talk down on the trenches, hoes know now that I'll still fuck
But the money get me insane
And I ain't know where the homie was
I was fucked up in the trenches, I ain't even know what a Rollie was
I used to look up to this nigga, but he gave his homie up
'Cause his daughter twelve years old, he gotta go do twenty-one
And I don't fuck with no fuck niggas, so these niggas don't owe me nothin'
Grown niggas act like kids, actin' like they Benjamin Button
Put my own fee down for my lawyer, that shit was twenty-one-hundred
Had to detail with my dog and he still wasn't comin'
With his gun or without his gun, I say he still not runnin'
And he tote his gun like 50, but he still one hunnid, nigga
It's all love
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love
It's all love, I thought it was real
He took a Percocet, wasn't all tryna pop a pill
Tryna prove a point to pop off first, he ain't your dog, for real
I gotta acknowledge that Lamb' truck 'cause I had a Bonneville
I don't get mad when the guys tell me no 'cause I know my mama will
Different niggas, they rockin' Polo, I'm rockin' Tommy Hill'
Trenches niggas, they'll drop it all when it's time to kill
First time was a throw off on my bag, and that was when I signed the deal
They say it's favoritism, nah, these the ones I love the most
I bought her two, three diamond chokers 'cause she love to choke
1942 with a small pill, she love the boat
Durkio, smurkio, yeah, she love the GOAT
Yeah, I love them G-Locks
Got away from all the phony niggas I had to detox
They don't even shoot at niggas no more, they love to beatbox
Walked up out your life with a pair of socks
That's two hunnid, that's them G socks
It's all love
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love (man, it's all love)
It's all love
The lyrics of Lil Durk's song "All Love" depicts his perspective towards life and relationships. The song's crux is about the subject of love and brotherhood, how he loves and cares for everyone, but not everyone reciprocates the same affection towards him. He mentions that he never fails to CashApp a couple of hundreds whenever his brother calls, and he is always there for them, but his kindness doesn't get reciprocated equally. Lil Durk also mentions how he was tired of fooling around with girls and how he ditched the whole culture by stating, " I was tired of fuckin' hoes, one more condom, I made the condom fall."
Lil Durk also shares a story from his past where he used to idolize someone until they made an unethical decision that he couldn't back, โI used to look up to this n***a, but he gave his homie up, โcause his daughter twelve years old, he gotta go do twenty-one.โ It shows how he trusts and admires individuals until they let him down. Throughout the song, he emphasizes the importance of standing beside one's loved ones, no matter what.
In conclusion, Lil Durk's "All Love" portrays a bitter-sweet journey of love, heartbreak, and trust in his relationships. It signifies his deep feelings for everyone he cares about, and even though some may fail to reciprocate the love, he continues to embrace the love he has for them.
