Stirling was born in Santa Ana, California, but spent a portion of her childhood in Gilbert, Arizona and graduated from Mesquite High School. She moved to Provo, Utah to attend Brigham Young University to study recreational therapy. She went on to perform missionary work in New York City for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Stirling returned home to Provo in 2009 to continue studying at BYU. She resided there until December 2012, when she moved back to Arizona with her family. Currently she lives in Los Angeles, California.
At the age of five, after being influenced by the classical music records played by her father, Stirling began to study the violin. She took private lessons for twelve years. When she was sixteen, she joined a rock band in Mesquite High School with four friends called "Stomp on Melvin". As part of her experience with Stomp on Melvin, Stirling wrote a solo violin rock song, and her performance helped her to win the state title of Arizona's Junior Miss and claim the Spirit Award in the America's Junior Miss Finals competition. Stirling was also a member of Charley Jenkins Band for about a year.
Stirling has released one EP, "Lindsey Stomp" in 2010, along with several singles, including collaborations with Peter Hollens, Eppic and Megan Nicole. Her debut full-length self-titled album "Lindsey Stirling" was released 18th September 2012. In December 2012, YouTube announced that Stirling's song, "Crystallize", was the No. 8 top-viewed video of 2012 with over 42 million views.
On March 12, 2014, Stirling posted a video announcing her second studio album, Shatter Me, would be released in May. She also created a PledgeMusic account where consumers could buy her new album, signed or not, and also exclusive items, such as signed posters, personalized video and even Skype calls with Stirling herself. At the end of the first day, the signed Shatter Me CD was already sold out. On March 25, 2014, Stirling officially released her first single from Shatter Me, entitled "Beyond the Veil", along with its accompanying music video. Their second album Shatter Me was released on April 29, 2014. It is Stirling's first album to include collaborations with other vocalists, featuring Lzzy Hale (from Halestorm) and Dia Frampton, and Stirling has said its musical style is more progressive than her first album. During its pre-sale, the album peaked at number one on the US iTunes electronic charts. On its released in USA the album reached the second position on Billboard 200, making Stirling's biggest sales week of her career. The album peaked on four different Billboard music charts.

Come With Us
Lindsey Stirling Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The old dude that was younger then?
I feel ya
Crazy demands like everyday
And you're turning in early on the weekends
Seems like you loosing what you told yourself
You'd never give up!
So caught up in the hype of making a living
Well guess what?
Can't stop, won't stop, that's what
I'm here 'bout to crank it up!
It's the summer time yo
And the sun ain't settin' so we might as well stay up
Let's go
Let's throw another beat on the wheels of steel
And another shrimp on the barbie
I've got a fresh sunburn and some mad appeal
But you know I came to start the party!
Come with us! come with us!
We can go anywhere tonight! n' go anywhere tonight!
Just got to come with us!
Come with us! come with us!
We can do anything we want! n' do anything we want!
Just got to come with us!
Get wild get stupid crazy
Come solo bring yo lady!
Oh yes we are where the action is!
Poolside where the splashing is
'Go baby'
Shady with a lemonaybe
The women and the weather both are hotter than Hades!
Up thing swag, ain't poppin' no tags
But here's my number call me maybe
I flow like a hose no foolin'
I'm like a pie in the window cooling
Yo, check out the roof that I'm ruling
Imma hold this down like a bully in a poolman
3 months out livin' da cold
We can do anything we want
Girl Imma get bronze you stay gold
You're a pal in a confidant
Get it?
Come with us! come with us!
We can go anywhere tonight! n' go anywhere tonight!
Just got to come with us!
Come with us! come with us!
We can do anything we want! n' do anything we want!
Just got to come with us!
So come on come on let's get down with the sound
And ya one of the true believers
But if ya wanna play it cool you can stand you ground
'Cause we really don't need you neither
Either you win or yo on ya way out
'Cause when the sun goes down we stay out
Chillin' on da lawn
'Til da break a dawn, or 'til the sprinklers kick us out
Come with us! come with us!
We can go anywhere tonight! n' go anywhere tonight!
Just got to come with us!
Come with us! come with us!
We can do anything we want! n' do anything we want!
Just got to come with us!
Come with us! come with us!
We can go anywhere tonight! n' go anywhere tonight!
Just got to come with us!
The lyrics to Lindsey Stirling feat. Can't Stop Won't Stop's song "Come With Us" is all about letting go of the everyday pressures of life and living in the moment. The song acknowledges the fact that people often get lost in the chaos of their lives, focusing too much on making a living rather than enjoying life. The song urges listeners to abandon their worries for one night and embrace the party. The first verse of the song speaks to a feeling of being held captive by life’s demands. The old man may be a metaphor for the listener’s younger self, the version of themselves that was once free and unabashed. The idea is that life over time changes people and at times one can lose that sense of freedom and unconcerned attitude of their earlier self.
The chorus seems to invite the listener to join the party because it's summertime and the sun isn't setting. It's a chance to let go, forget the crazy demands of life, and just have fun. The phrase "can't stop, won't stop" serves as an encouragement to continue living life to its fullest, even when it gets tough. The second and third verses contain multiple lines that urge listeners to abandon their troubles and just let loose: "Get wild get stupid crazy, come solo bring yo lady," and "We can do anything we want! N' do anything we want! Just got to come with us!" The song's theme is a message of living life to the fullest, but in doing so, Lindsey Stirling and Can't Stop Won't Stop want listeners to share in these wild and crazy adventures.
