1) Lionheart is a B… Read Full Bio ↴There are several bands with the name Lionheart:
1) Lionheart is a British hard rock supergroup formed in late 1980, originally featuring singer Jess Cox (ex-Tygers of Pan Tang), guitarist Dennis Stratton (ex-Iron Maiden), guitarist Steve Mann (ex-Liar, later with MSG, Michael Schenker and Eloy), and bassist/vocalist Rocky Newton (ex-The Next Band, Wildfire), and drummer Frank Noon (ex-The Next Band, Def Leppard). The band split up in 1986 but reformed in 2016 with a line-up featuring Stratton, Mann, Newton, plus vocalist Lee Small (Shy and Phenomena) and Clive Edwards (ex-UFO and Wild Horses) on drums.
2) An Alternative Rock band from Hertfordshire, England. Their eagerly anticipated first album, I Need To Shout, is soon to be independently released.
3) The second was a Rock Against Communism band also hailing from the United Kingdom which was founded in the late 80's and existed into the mid 90's.
4) Lionheart is one of U.S.A.'s leading ensembles in vocal chamber music. It is best known for its interpretation of medieval and Renaissance a cappella music, with Gregorian Chant as the keystone of its repertoire.
5) A Russian melodic power metal band.
6) Hailing from the San Francisco Bay area, Lionheart are at the forefront of the new breed of hardcore monsters.
Clearly influenced by NYHC and rooted in “mosh core”, Lionheart have enough technical ability and metal influence to also appael to a broader range of aggressive music fans. “The Will To Survive” was originally released by Sacramento’s West Coast Worlwide in late 2007, and quickly sold over 1,000 copies with no retail presence or distribution at all, solely via mail order and through the band during their rugged tour schedule.
Following in the foot steps of Northern California bands like Hoods and Powerhouse, the band has built an intensely loyal grassroots following. Lionheart’s lyrics deal with strength, pride and growing up in a world with no handouts.
It will be only a matter of time before Lionheart are mentioned along with bands like Terror, Hatebreed and Madball.

When we started this shit
Made a lot of mistakes, man
But it is what is
Trusted some pieces of shit
That only cared about them
Set fire to the bridge
And haven't looked back since
Yeah way back when
We were sleeping in the van
And saving change back then
Ha, I swear to god
Those were the days back then
I Never thought it would end
Thank you for the long drives
The late nights
All the inside jokes
And all the fights
Thank you for the best time of my life
Even when I was down
You made me feel alive
No handouts
And no hype
No record label tryna tell us
What to sound like
And I'm the same mother fucker
Still built on struggle
We were never that good
We just knew how to hustle
We were never that good
We just knew how to hustle
Thank you for the long drives
The late nights
All the inside jokes
And all the fights
Thank you for the best time of my life
Even when I was down
You made me feel alive
So let it ride
Yeah, so let it ride
Even when I was down
You made me feel alive
We used to give a damn
But never gave a fuck
Tank full of gas
Van full of bad luck
Now I'm running down a dream
Like it never was enough
And now I'm tryna say goodbye
But I'm getting choked up
We used to give a damn
But never gave a fuck
Tank full of gas
Van full of bad luck
Now I'm running down a dream
Like it never was enough
And now I'm tryna say goodbye
But I'm getting choked up
Like "Oh no, I can't let go"
Still Running down a dream
A thousand miles from my home
And yeah we took a break
But this is all I know
And now the road is calling my name
And I wanna go...
The open road will forever be my home
Singing loud with the windows down...
Wherever I May Roam

In Lionheart's song "Trial by Fire", the artist reflects on the journey and evolution of his band, confessing to past mistakes and thanking those who have supported him. The song is an ode to the band's humble beginnings and their persistence to rise above obstacles, despite having no record label or financial support. The first verse expresses the artist's appreciation for his early experiences, sleeping in a van and saving change, as well as acknowledging the negatives, such as trusting the wrong people who only cared about themselves. However, the artist rethinks his past mistakes and learns to move on by setting fire to the proverbial bridge and not looking back. In the chorus, the artist thanks his friends for being with him through thick and thin and for making his life feel alive, even during his lowest moments.
The second verse highlights the band's tenacity and their resistance to change their sound or style to please a label. The artist claims that they were not the most talented, but they made up for it with their hustle and drive. The chorus repeats the theme of gratitude, acknowledging that the long drives, late nights, inside jokes, and fights ultimately brought them closer together. The final verse is a reflection of the band's current success and their desire to keep striving towards a brighter future, even if it means leaving their past behind. The artist laments getting choked up, as he tries to say goodbye to his former self, but cannot let go of the open road, which has become his home.
