The album was recorded and mixed over the past year at The Lab Studios in Auckland by ‘Engineer of The Year’ Oliver Harmer. Lisa has self-produced the majority of the album, with assistance from the talented Jol Mulholland, Wayne Bell, and Andrew Keoghan (who features on the haunting duet ‘We Are Wolves’).
With playful, clever, and heartfelt lyrics, the combination of a truly beautiful voice to match her unique musical talents (expect piano, guitar, clarinet, omnichord and more), the album is complemented by an array of friends and musicians from bands such as The Ruby Suns, Bannerman, The Checks, Artisan Guns and Tiny Ruins, to name a few.
Lisa is one of New Zealand’s songwriters to watch, already having won the international ‘Pacific Songwriting Competition’ and has recently been nominated for a Silver Scroll award for the catchy single “Leaving”.
The album tackles ordinarily tender topics all from the perspective of a young woman and shimmering rising star who would love to share… Everything That I Have Seen.
Leaving
Lisa Crawley Lyrics

It's getting late now, and I'm tired
You said you wanted to go with me
But you get seasick, I think you lie
I know that I've been lonely
But I've lonely all this time
And so now I'll put my foot down
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh
I took my hat off to you, boy
And yes, I took off other things too
But all you ever gave me
Was a maybe, we will see
You took everything that I had
And you threw it all away
All this time I was dreaming
And believing that you loved me
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh
The song "Leaving" by Lisa Crawley is about ending a toxic relationship and finally standing up for oneself. The first verse shows the singer boarding a ship, ready to leave her past behind. She invited her partner to join her but quickly realized that he was not capable of going on an adventure with her as he lied about his sea sickness. The chorus emphasizes the feeling of loneliness that she has been dealing with for a long time, and how she is done putting herself down. The second verse reveals that the partner she had was not really committed, only giving her false hope about their future together. He took her for granted and threw away everything they had built. The repetition of "ooh" gives the song a melancholic and reflective tone.
Overall, the song delivers the message of self-love and leaving behind the past that doesn't serve us well. The singer draws the line and decides to take control of her life, no longer tolerating being treated poorly by anyone.
