The group had three hits: the first and biggest was the nostalgic tune "Those Oldies but Goodies (Remind Me of You)", a #9 Pop and #28 R&B hit in 1961. The follow-up, "Hully Gully Again", hit #54, and subsequent release "Memories of those Oldies but Goodies" Bubbled Under at #101. They also released a full-length album on Del-Fi Records.
The group's live act sometimes included wearing togas on stage. They broke up in 1962, at least partly due to an argument between lead singer Carl Barnett and member David Johnson (who performed the spoken-word portion of "Those Oldies but Goodies") as to which of them was Little Caesar.

The songs of the past bring back memories of you
I always remember the first night we met
The songs they were playing I never will forget
I always will treasure them so close to my heart
They always will haunt me although we're apart
Each time that I hear them a tear's bound to fall
For I love those memories that I, I-I recall
The songs of the past bring back memories of you
Forever they will haunt me but what can I do?
Those oldies but goodies reminds me of you
(Oldies but goodies reminds me of you)
"Yes, dear, they are playin' our songs. And they will always remain our
songs. And each time you hear them, I hope you, too, will cherish the wonderful
memories that our love once knew. For these songs are just a symbol of the
love that I had for you."

There will NEVER be any music like that again, I am glad I grew up in the 50's.
@SpellbreakersLA
Listen to The Roomates, they are a modern doowop band from the UK
@Lisa-di1wi
That is true! Today's music belongs in the garbage can! I'm so glad that I grew up in the 60's.
@freeguy77
Nan, same for me! The last 20+ years of (mostly) rap crap is absolutely the worst music ever made. It belongs in the gutter, which is worse than any garbage can.
