1.) Assemble… Read Full Bio ↴There are at least three artists using the name Living:
1.) Assembled by front-man and songwriter Terry Strecker, Living were a highly theatrical 11-piece ensemble formed at SUNY Purchase; influenced by Bowie as well as certain other early synth-groups. The music video for Living's "Boat Talk" was originally included on Danspak (a video release formation) and remains a staple of the early 80s.
2.) Solo album by Lucas de Almeida of Inverness. Written and recorded between May and November of 2006 in a small brazilian town called Campinas, and it reflects that town’s characteristic parks and streets. It vaguely tells a story about a fever and its deliriums, although that can also be a metaphor for something larger. Conceived mostly with unplugged guitars through distortion effects, laptop electronics, and voice.
3.) Brazilian chillwave / experimental / psychedelic pop artist based in Bergen, Norway, debuting on Brilliance autumn 2015.

I've held my tongue for far too long
Every lie, every rumor
I hear the whispers circling back to me
You got shit to say, say it to my face
Let's settle this once and for all
In the open for all to see
You're nothing more than a coward
This is the end, never again, I'll watch you fall
And sink a burning ship
This is the end, never again, I speak for all
We've had enough of it
I can't let this bullshit slide
Your petty antics brought this war
I see through your two-faced lies, remember
You reap what you sew
You reap what you sew
I see through the two-faced lies, remember
You reap what you sew
This is the end, never again, I'll watch you fall
And sink a burning ship
This is the end, never again, I speak for all
We've had enough of it
With all this blood on your hands
I can't wait 'til you fucking drop dead
Drop
Drop Dead
Look at this mess that you've
A tale of regret
Burned every bridge that was made
We can't forgive
We won't forget
This is the end, never again, I'll watch you fall
And sink a burning ship
This is the end, never again, I speak for all
We've had enough of it
Drop dead
The lyrics to Living Sacrifice's song "Hand of the Dead" speak to the pain caused by past mistakes, and the struggle to move forward and heal from them. The opening lines - "Cut deep, the wound is open, infection sets in / Will this be my last or does the cut get deeper?" - suggest that the singer is grappling with a significant, lingering hurt. The following lines speak to a sense of numbness, perhaps brought on by the emotional toll of the wound: "I can't feel walking with unopened eyes / Lies that brought me here fade away".
At the core of the lyrics is a sense of displacement and confusion. The singer is lost, unsure of how to proceed. The lines "Misplaced this cure, misplaced this heart / Can't feel for the wound inside" suggest a desperation to find some kind of resolution, but an inability to even begin the process of healing. The "Hand of the dead laid in stone" seems to symbolize a lifelessness or stagnation that the singer can't escape - and the final line, "Can't feel for the wound inside / Hand of the dead", drives home the sense of futility and hopelessness.
Overall, "Hand of the Dead" is a powerful exploration of the struggle to move on from pain and trauma. The lyrics reflect a deep sense of emotional turmoil, but ultimately seem to offer a glimmer of hope - even in the midst of despair, there is an acknowledgement that the singer is still fighting to move forward.
