Fool
Loder Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Must've been July
When you asked me why
Cried all night
Asked me to be yours
Timing ain't right

As I recall, I fell through your hands
Through the gaps, calloused skin cracked
Down in dirt, I passed by the worms
Can't see the hole but what a thing at all to fall

So I called you up, said I've had my luck
Ventura take me home, but I carry her, alone
Only just survived, think it's just my blood
Eyes rolling up, it's too much

So it's come back down, you fool
Paid back now in full

Come back down you fool
You know it's paid back now in full

Come back down, you fall
You know it's paid back now in full, full

Overall Meaning

In "Fool," Loder explores the aftermath of a failed relationship. The song begins with a reference to a specific time, suggesting that the conversation took place in July. The singer recalls being asked why they cried all night and being asked to be theirs, but feeling that the timing was not right. The line "As I recall, I fell through your hands" reflects a sense of vulnerability and being let down by the other person. The imagery of calloused skin cracked and passing by worms in the dirt represents feeling broken and discarded.

The singer reaches a point where they call the other person, expressing that they have had enough misfortune. The mention of Ventura might indicate a desire to escape or find solace in a different place. However, despite seeking comfort in a physical location, they still carry the weight of the failed relationship alone. The lyrics convey a sense of feeling overwhelmed, with the singer suggesting that they have barely survived and their eyes roll up, possibly implying a feeling of being on the brink of collapse.

The chorus, which iterates the lines "So it's come back down, you fool / Paid back now in full / Come back down you fool / You know it's paid back now in full," suggests that the singer has moved on and that the other person will now face the consequences of their actions. It implies a sense of justice or closure, with the singer reclaiming power and finding some form of resolution.

Overall, "Fool" explores the emotions and struggles one faces after a relationship ends and the journey of finding strength and closure.

@miscellaneousone

Calling them out for this, is long overdue. Thank you.

@drunk3n_m0nk12

I noticed Tavarish's P1 seemed to have some underbody damage that looked suspiciously like two long fork lift arms (just like the ones they use at copart) had made two perfectly straight lines of damage to the carbon fiber.

@509brown

Crap! Such a pain...its not the damage its the NEEDLESS damage because someone doesn't care about other people.

I worked opposite a shipping yard and winced at the treatment of the cars being loaded into containers for export. they are treated so badly i would say it's bordering vandalism.

@stephenw2992

Its always something to beware of and take into account with how much you pay for damaged auction vehicles. My Honda prelude had the passenger floor pan bent by a forklift. Wasnt too hard to stomp it back into original condition though. I even rolled the car out of the auction and onto my trailer because I didnt want them lifting it another time.

Be glad he didn't get your drive shaft!

@andydhillon1977

I just bought a 2005 BMW ZHP that has more damage than I was told/expecting.

It will be a fun project to learn on though. It's fun thinking about how to tackle the damage.

On an episode of Roadkill the guys find a 1969 Mach 1 Mustang in a wrecking yard. They decide to pull it out and work on it. The guy driving the forklift picked it up from the front and tilted the forks back. The car slid down the forks until the front end smashed into the forklift. CRUNCH. These guys don't give a single fuck about damaging stuff.
