After years of a successful career with "Los Bukis" Marco Antonio decided to pursue a solo career. At first Marco Antonio Solís was called "El Buki" but after an agreement with the rest of the band both parties agreed to not make use of the name. The new band is called Los Mismos ("the same ones") as in "the same members of Los Bukis".
