I’m japanese, and one of my friends loves Chicano/Chicana culture. (It’s an ethnic identity for Mexican Americans who have a non-Anglo self-image, embracing their Mexican Native ancestry, in case you don’t know)
She paints beautiful illustrations of chicanas, also she loves dressing up like a chicana and posting it on her instagram. Oneday, a girl from the US sent her a dm and insulted her drawing, also her being a fan of that culture by saying ‘it’s my culture! Not yours!!’
She was shocked and sad, she even stopped drawing for a while since then.
I was also sad, because all she does is based on her respect and love for the culture.
In japan we love other cultures too, my college had a huge community that was called “African culture studies”, they play African instruments after classes and seemed so fun.
Also I love Native American jewelry so much, there are many ppl around me who wears those Native American jewelry, because we love the craftsmanship.
We just love other cultures respectfully as much as we love our culture

Jeffrey 773 No se enojaron. They were saying that the mustache wasn’t original. Que no era de verdad.
@jeffrey7737
@@elmarino6235 right unnecessary do they took it off
@MB-rh5ck
The girl that removed the mustache is a representative of the most privileged and safe group in America. Imagine how safe and privileged you have to feel to go up to a man that’s a whole foot taller than you, rip off something that’s on his face, have yourself the most annoying laugh, and not expect to have your ass kicked.

I'm liberal , can write a novel of reasons why I hate Trump, and I legitimately wanted to give that spoiled brat a piece of my mind. So this guy can't try out other cultures but it's ok to reach across and rip something off that he's wearing?? And Ik I rant quite a bit on cultural appropriation but I really wish more people just realized how hypocritical claiming cultural appropriation really is. I mean these sjws say their anti racist and totally want everyone to segregate themselves. In that case, maybe pizza should only be served to Italians, Mexican food to Mexicans, and sushi only to the Japanese . No more anime conventions unless you're Japanese or Greek festivals unless you're Greek or wearing hair styles- or clothes from a different culture even if you went to a another country where the locals literally make their living out of inviting tourists to come and try their way of life- bc inclusiveness is horrible not! 🙄

That’s true. She’s never lived in the hood. You can’t even look people in the eyes there
@H0SANNA
Ikr I wanted to slap her so bad with that annoying laugh
