Se formaron el 30 de marzo de 1982 a raíz de una propuesta de Daniel Melingo (saxofonista de Los Abuelos de la Nada) quien se unió a Pipo Cipolatti.

Entre los éxitos de la banda se destacan: "Invasión" y "El Estudiante". Éste último se convirtió en un himno representativo para los estudiantes secundarios de Argentina, y es frecuentemente cantado el 21 de septiembre, día del estudiante, y en los actos de fin de curso. También fue adaptado por la empresa Terra Networks, para un spot publicitario.
