To Hell We Ride
Lostprophets Lyrics

(Ride!)

With you it's never good enough
Because you want the stuff that could change your future
You're lost amongst a sea of chance
And now the more you dance
Just gets you sinking deeper
It's OK, don't apologize
You don't know what you're striving for
Never seem to try
It's too early
Don't live your life
Just keep on moving
It's time to

Ride!
Ride!
Ride!
Now it's time to

Everything seems tempting
But nothing comes for free
I've often wonder how you drive
When the road's too dark to see
It's too early
It's time to

Ride!
Ride!
Ride!
Now it's time to

We light the fire to watch it burn
But when it comes your turn
All that's left is embers
You ran this race with no ill heart
You're right back at the start
You'd already lost it

It's OK, don't apologize
You don't know what you're striving for
Never seem to try
It's too early
Don't live your life
Just keep on moving
It's time to

Ride!
Ride!
Ride!
Now it's time to

Everything seems tempting
But nothing comes for free
I've often wonder how you drive
When the road's too dark to see
It's too early
It's time to

Ride!
Ride!
Ride!
Now it's time to

Everything feels tempting
When you don't know what to be
I often wonder how you feel
When you're lying next to me
It's too early
It's time to

Yeah, yeah its all gone
Yeah, yeah after all that's done
Yeah, I will stay

Ride!
You know its not enough

Overall Meaning

The song "To Hell We Ride" by Lostprophets is a powerful message warning about the consequences of one's actions in life. The lyrics reflect on the notion that some people are never satisfied with what they have and always strive for more. The singer in the song is in a state of constant dissatisfaction, always looking for something to change his future. The lyrics suggest that this person is lost in a sea of chance and the more he tries, the more he sinks deeper.

The song advises that it's okay not to know what one is striving for and it's never too early to live one's life. The chorus repeatedly calls for the singer to ride, which could be interpreted as a call for him to take action and move forward, even if he's unsure about where he's going. The song also speaks to the idea that there are consequences for one's actions, and that sometimes it's too late to fix things. The line "We light the fire to watch it burn, but when it comes your turn, all that's left is embers" suggests that the singer has already lost what he was searching for and must face the consequences of his actions.

The song's final lines are "Yeah, yeah, it's all gone. Yeah, yeah, after all that's done. Yeah, I will stay. Ride! You know it's not enough." These lines could mean that even though the singer has lost everything he was striving for, he won't give up and will continue to strive for more. The song is a powerful reminder that one's actions have consequences, and that it's important to be mindful of the choices we make.

LYRICS
Well alright.
With you it's never good enough, because you want the stuff
that could change your future
Your life's amongst a sea of chance and now the more
you dance it just gets you sinking deeper
It's OK, don't apologize
You don't know what your striving for
and you never seem to try.
It's too early, go live your life
Keep on moving, it's time to
Ride, Ride, Ride
Now it's time to...
Ride, Ride, Ride
Everything seems tempting
but nothing comes for free
I often wonder how you drive,
when the road's too dark to see
It's too early, it's time to...
Ride, Ride, Ride
Relight the fire to watch it burn,
but when it comes
your turn, all that's left is embers...
You ran this race with no real heart,
you're right
back at the start, you'd already lost it...
It's OK, don't apologize
You don't know what you're striving for
and you never seem to try.
It's too early, go live your life
Keep on moving, it's time to
Ride, Ride, Ride
Now it's time to...
Ride, Ride, Ride
Everything seems tempting
but nothing comes for free
I often wonder how you drive,
when the road's too dark to see
It's too early, it's time to
Ride, Ride, Ride
Everything feels tempting,
when you don't know who to be
I often wonder how you feel,
when you're laying next to me
It's too early, it's time to
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
It's all road
Yeah, Yeah
And after all I've done
Yeah, Yeah
no answers.

3. Blindside - Swallow
4. Static-X - The Only
5. Story Of The Year - And The Hero Will Drown

7. Lostprophets - To Hell We Ride
9. Jerk - Sucked In
10. Hotwire - Invisible
- For garage:
1. Mystikal - Smashing the Gas
2. Dilated Peoples - Who's Who

One of the best tracks in one of the best albums I've ever heard. So sad Ian brought the band down and buried this masterpiece with him. I hate knowing that even Spotify won't include it in their platform again.

@FoxCunt

From what I've read it's not on Spotify just due to license issues, not ian. For whatever reason there's only one album on there so yeah

@FatalBoxers2023

This really sucked, like i was hearing music and all of a sudden the song was gone

@ArthurLopes39

@@FoxCunt They're all gone now. Spotify still had Weapons up until sometime last year but that is too wiped out, though their Spotify artist page still sells their CDs for some reason.

@huskerdude1227

All of their albums are available on Spotify UK.
