He was 11 years old when he got his first guitar which belonged to his mother during the 1970's but he has only been writing his own songs since the age of 16. He currently has three Albums out "Hairy Tales" is his debut album, "Cloud Blowin' Child" and his most recent work entitled "Old Mans Poems" and then he has a live collection of recordings entitled "Green Green Is The Live", Aguilar played during the same gig as Devendra Banhart as a Local Support Act.

He plays Folk in its purest form, he says "The thing is that it's music made for people, by people. Quite the purest kind of music".
