Fallen Angel
Louise Carver Lyrics

Why don't you speak your mind?
Are you afraid to? Fallen angel
Your suffering's unkind
To yourself and fallen angel
Come back to the light
I can show you, fallen angel
I can't do this for you
I can't do this for you
I can't do this for you
I can't do this for you
I can't do this for you
Fallen angel
Fallen angel
Set yourself free
You have the choice now
Fallen angel
Now you get to be
All of who you are
And fallen angel
Stop torturing yourself
You played the part well
Fallen angel
You have to make a start
I can't do this for you
I can't do this for you
I can't do this for you
I can't do this for you
I can't do this for you
Fallen angel
He didn't know how
How to love you?
I know it is rough
But I will help you
Nothing makes much sense
But time is on your side
Never thought it end
You fought to keep it
I know how you bend
To fit the pieces
Everything in vain
But you will be alright
Fallen angel
Discarded in your sleep
Before you knew it
Fallen angel
The pain, I know run deep
But you'll come through it
Fallen angel
Hold onto yourself
No one can take it
Fallen angel
Fall into the sea
I can't do this for you
I can't do this for you
I can't do this for you
I can't do this for you
I can't do this for you
Fallen angel
Fallen, fallen angel
Fallen, falling angel
The lyrics of Louise Carver's song "Fallen Angel" convey a message of empathy, support, and encouragement to someone who is experiencing inner turmoil and suffering. The singer in the song addresses this "fallen angel," urging them to find their voice and express their thoughts and emotions. There is a sense of understanding and care, as the singer acknowledges that the suffering of the fallen angel is unkind to themselves.
The chorus repeats the phrase "I can't do this for you," which suggests that while the singer wants to help and support the fallen angel, ultimately it is up to them to take action and make a change in their life. The singer acknowledges that they cannot fix the fallen angel's problems, but they can offer guidance and show them the way back to the light. The lyrics express the belief that the fallen angel has the power to set themselves free and become all that they are meant to be.
Throughout the song, there is a theme of resilience and the idea that time is on the fallen angel's side. The fallen angel is encouraged to stop torturing themselves and to make a fresh start, despite the pain they have endured. The lyrics suggest that the fallen angel has been discarded and has experienced deep emotional pain, but they are reminded to hold on to themselves and that no one can take away their innate worth.
Overall, "Fallen Angel" is a song about finding inner strength, embracing one's true self, and overcoming personal struggles with the support of others.
