Formation and debut album (2005 - Present)
Snowhite, leading vocalist of Love Arcade, brought together his group of five to begin the formation of the band. Snowhite came up with a title that represented the vibe of the songs and would stick in people's minds, upon which Love Arcade was christened. Upon the signing of the newly-created band under Atlantic Records, Love Arcade set out to record their first album. After recording and re-recording a multitude of songs, the band was left to decide on twelve of the hundreds of options that would collectively be known as their debut, self-titled album. The result was successful; a collection of twelve catchy, radio-friendly rock songs, released in August 2006.
On January 1, 2008, Love Arcade posted a blog on their MySpace telling their fans that a new album was coming soon. The album has not yet been titled, and it is rumored to include Love Arcade's three new tracks, which include "Knocks Me Off My Feet", "While U Were Sleeping", "1 2 Here's A Clue", and "Song 4".
On April 28, 2008, Love Arcade released their first music video since their debut album for their song "Hanging By A String".

You were always there, the purest water to drink
Lift me up and kiss me like you always meant it
I am free you release me for the first time
And you open up and let me in
Your love enough to wash my sin
You look at me, there's no one else around
That I can see, the beauty I have found
Lift me up and kiss me like you always meant it
I am free you release me for the first time
And you open up and let me in
Your love enough to wash my sin
The lyrics of Love Arcade's song "Open Up" expresses pure and unconditional love. The song talks about a person who is always there for the other person without any judgment or fear of society's opinion. The lines "You didn't care what anyone else would think" and "You were always there, the purest water to drink" reveal that the person's love is the only thing the singer needed in their life, and it was enough to keep them going.
The singer is deeply grateful to the person who loves them and is now free from every burden and regret in life. The lines "Lift me up and kiss me like you always meant it, I am free you release me for the first time" convey the fact that the singer feels liberated and happy in the person's love. The chorus, "And you open up and let me in, your love enough to wash my sin" depicts that the singer already feels forgiven, and their love is washing away all their pain and guilt.
In the second verse, the singer describes the person's beauty and how special they are to them. The lines "You look at me, there's no one else around, that I can see, the beauty I have found" indicate the fact that the person's love is all the singer ever wanted, and their existence is the most beautiful part of their life. The song tells us that unconditional love can liberate us from our past and give us the strength to move forward.
