Wow, what a song. Who doesn't want to dance to the end of love. I married my husband in four days, we went out on a Tuesday and married on Saturday that week-end. We are still aging together (81 and 76) and I feel like we have danced to the end of love. And since passion turned into love and now love has become stronger, I'm caring for him since he can no longer walk. We'll get there, to the end of love. We have been married for 49 years. It's hasn't been easy but it was worth it. This song runs through the story of our lives.

Two weeks ago my 97 year old father-in-law passed away in his bed as my husband and i were visiting him and my mother-in-law, who was in the bed next to his. My brother passed away suddenly on December 2nd 2018.Leonard Cohen was his hero since the 70's. I chose this song as part of his funeral. I miss my brother so much. Посчастливилось скачать из Сети его более чем двухчасовой живой концерт в Лондоне в 2008 году. И концерт начинался именно с этой песни. Существует сайт с литературным переводом песни. И, в частности, там пишут, что хотя в мелодии звучат греческие мотивы и сама песня похожа больше на любовную, но навеяна она темой Холокоста...
Как жаль, что нет его больше среди нас.
