She's All American
Love and Bullets Lyrics

Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

We reject what we don't understand
We turn our backs on a fellow man
I wanna change, but my heart is bleedin'
Heart is hard, and can't nobody see me
I wanna be there for the ones that need me
I can't stand the pain I see on TV
Jealous 'cause they wanna be me
Damn it man, this life ain't easy
It takes over me
My unforgiveness keeps control of me
Damnit, I gotta get a hold of me
Gotta get a hold of me, oh
What you want out of life? That's the question
This ain't a simulation, it's a blessing
Is it a mistake or is it destined?
We ain't got no time for second guessin'
We can't save ourselves, we need a savior
We ain't make ourselves, we need a maker
I keep failin' myself, I need somethin' new
So I lay my life down, I give it all to you

All to you, give it all to you (give it all to you)
(Ooh, give it all to you)
Give it all to you, give it all (give it all to you)
Oh, oh

I came to the end of me, believin' the enemy
Comin' with that "Mmm", man, you ain't a friend of me
Nothing can fix that, ooh, not even the Hennessy
I had to switch it up, yeah, switch up the remedy
God, can you use imperfect people? (Oh)
'Cause I'm broken through and through (oh)
Just tell me where I need to go (need to go)
'Cause that's all that I wanna do (all that I wanna do)
I'm a mess, but I'm tryna grow
I'm upset, but I still wanna know
Is there more for my life
Or is that all she wrote? (Is that all she wrote?)
Uh, is that all she wrote? (Is that all that she wrote?)
Is that all she wrote? (Is that all that she wrote?)
Is that all she wrote?

Thanks to all them Judas kisses, I got a master's in forgiveness
I don't need a jail system, I walk in conviction
I'd rather pray to God, than pray for wishes
I'm supernatural, not superstitious, there's a difference
Like relationship versus religion, that's a prison
I'm lightin' circle, then royal purple inside a prism
This flow is so universal, it came with dreams and visions
I got the keys to the kingdom, I'm 'bout my father business
I came up straight from the bottom, I started from the finish
You can't undermine a mastermind
I may be out of your mind, but I ain't out of mine
I'm co-crucified, bury, resurrected
And perfected in the Son of God
Just like water turn to wine, I'm a prophetic sign
Ask your barber, I'ma headliner, New York Times
My life verses, I am His, yeah, and He is mine
The great "I Am's", the greatest Lamb of all time
Rebranded, redesigned and redefined
From Brandon to brand new
I'ma brand name in the household, brand too
Who are you to try to tell me what I can't do? Winnie-the-Pooh, huh?

You ever ask yourself "Am I gonna make it?"
You know, I don't know, of course I can fake it
But honestly, can I go on?

I'm so tired, I'm so broken, I'm so weary
Oh, God, oh, God

Overall Meaning

The song "She's All American" by Love and Bullets explores themes of personal growth, self-reflection, and the search for meaning in life. The lyrics speak to the struggles and challenges faced by the singer, as well as their desire for change and redemption.

The opening lines convey a sense of disillusionment with society's tendency to reject or turn its back on what it doesn't understand. The singer expresses a desire to change, but acknowledges the difficulty and pain that come with it. They also express a longing to be there for others in need and a frustration with the pain and suffering they see on TV.

The chorus delves into existential questions about the purpose of life and whether it is predetermined or a result of our own choices. It emphasizes the need for a higher power, a savior or a maker, and acknowledges a sense of failure and the need for something new.

The second verse continues the theme of self-reflection and acknowledges past mistakes and the need for forgiveness. The singer poses the question of whether imperfect people can be used by God and expresses a desire to grow and learn from their shortcomings. The lyrics also allude to the idea that there may be more to life than what has already been experienced.

The third verse highlights the singer's journey of forgiveness and their choice to embrace faith rather than relying on worldly wishes or a jail system. They contrast the idea of a relationship with God versus a mere religious practice, emphasizing the freedom and enlightenment found in the former. The lyrics also showcase the singer's confidence in their abilities and their commitment to their purpose and mission.

The final section of the song presents a series of rhetorical questions that touch on doubts, weariness, and the uncertainty of whether one can persevere. It captures a sense of exhaustion and vulnerability, seeking solace and guidance from a higher power to overcome the challenges faced.

Overall, "She's All American" is a introspective song that delves into the complexities of human existence, the quest for purpose, and the power of faith and redemption.

I had not seen this before, great to be able to watch this! Very good old ‘70’s cast, Rod Steiger and Strother Martin as well as Jill Ireland. Charles Bronson practically a National treasure and this is the only movie I’ve seen where he plays a character named Charlie! He remains as Cool and recognizable as any of the tough guys have ever been too. You are missed Charles Bronson, R.I.P.

Dale Gaustad

Charles Bronson was truly a great actor, and underrated.

One of my favorites! They are so good together in this film! Sad we've lost both of them now, even sadder their marriage was not long enough for either of them ♥

Dale Hood

alaintha, Charles and Jill did quite a few movies together. Not sure how many. When Charles Bronson was in the "Great Escape", Jill was married to David McCallum, (The Man From Uncle). Charles told David, "I'm going to marry your wife." And he did. Take care and all the best.

Alaintha
