Some young people are smarter than the teachers
There are young people who better understand the complexities of gender and sexuality than the adults who teach them.

They teach us how we do belong
They help us in our pursuit of acceptance and self-discovery.

And some old people have arise
However, there are some elderly individuals who have embraced the changes and progress that has been made.

Looking forward embracing their role through the night
These individuals, despite their age, are still excited about their contribution towards the LGBTQ communities.

And some old people hate to change
There are still elders who refuse to accept the evolution of society and the progress it has brought us.

Except when they're praying away the things they need to shame
These same individuals, when it does not align with their outdated belief system, are vocal about their prejudices.

And some young people say they aren't hypocrites
Although, there are also young people who claim they are accepting, but refute their tolerance when faced with it in reality.

Say that they accept everyone and they help some
These individuals, hypocritical or not, have the potential to make a difference for our community.

And some young people like to act like old people
There are young individuals who are unable to accept progress and reflect some traditional values.

Wearing bows ties and telling us we're wrong
Even if their style reflects respectability, they still cannot recognize the rights of the LGBTQ community.

And some old people don't remember when they were kids
Elders who have lost their perspective and cannot relate to the plight of the youth.

And they never choose who they liked
There was little to no choice in previous generations when it came to sexual orientation and identity.

That they liked who they did, they liked who they did
Individuals loved and followed their passions, such as love, regardless of societal condemnation.

LGBT, LOVE
The LGBTQ community embodies love and acceptance for all.
