He started his career singing Will Tura songs and became populair with his own songs on the populair Flemish music chart television program Tien Om Te Zien. His most well known hits include "Bel Me, Schrijf Me" (a cover of Bend Me, Shape Me), "Ik Mis Je Elke Dag" and "Hij Speelde Accordeon".
In 1990 he sang "J'aime mon pays/Ik hou van mijn land" together with Sandra Kim for then Belgian King Baudouin for the king's 60th birthday and 40 years on the throne (60/40 celebrations).
