1. Lukas (real name Luke Turner) is a deep house producer from Bristol, UK. He's affiliated with Futureboogie and has been collaborating with fellow Bristol producer Christophe.
2. Hailing from Sydney Australia, LUKAS combine elements of Bitpop, Rock, Indie, Folk and Alternative Rock to fuse a powerful sound that makes you want to sing, dance, worship, stand up, nod your head, think and be inspired to make a difference in the world around you.
Formed in 2004 by Luke Munns, who stepped up from behind the drum kit of the globally renowned Hillsong UNITED, the band released their first EP simply entitled ‘Demo’. This saw the band gain a dedicated international fan base as the digital downloads went well into the hundreds of thousands.
The band then began work on the follow up record. Bringing in the likes of producer Brendan Anthony (who has recorded INXS, Midnight Oil, Jimmy Barnes, George, Able & Brianna Carpenter from Australian Idol) and featuring guest guitarist Michael Guy Chislett (The Academy is, Butch Walker & Hillsong UNITED) the result was the highly acclaimed second EP titled ‘You & Me' (available on iTunes).
The band has forged ahead evolving their sound and live show which has seen them share the stages with such diverse acts as MXPX, Switchfoot, Antiskeptic, Angela’s Dish, The Getaway Plan, Project 86, Guy Sebastian & Brooke Fraser. Their polished live show and ministry focus has also taken them to such festivals as Blackstump Festival, Big Exo Day. Parachute Festival as well as Hillsong conference.
The boys then took a break to write a record their new single ‘Shine Your Glory’. Recorded with the legendary Blair Simmons (who has worked with artists like Something For Kate and Brooke Fraser) at the mixing helm the new single speaks about dealing with holding onto faith as we deal with issues of this world and through it all find a way to show God’s love, light and passion to those around us.
