Music making was adopted at an early age, serving as the buffer between a distant home turf and a newly adopted land of milk and honey: Southern California. Balancing the collision of identity, religion, and western culture was (and is) a process that has found an artistic culmination on Luke Top’s first full-length musical album, “Friends.” Mostly self-recorded in a backyard bungalow, it stays true to Luke’s formative roots in California while expanding its imagery beyond the simple evocation of one particular time and place. Up to this point, Luke could be seen and heard in a number of musical configurations throughout the world. Notable collaborations include Cass Mccombs, The Papercuts, Foreign Born, and co-founding of the L.A. based Afro-Hebrew dance band Fool’s Gold.

Vader - ”Have you come to destroy me, Obi-Wan.”
Kylo - ”Did you come back to say you forgive me…to save my soul”
Luke - ”No…”
Kenobi - ”I will do what I must.”
- The parallels are amazing between this and the fight we just saw take place in Kenobi…Obi-Wan confronts Vader to distract him and give the Rebellion enough time to escape just like Luke. Obi-Wan waits out in the open with cliffs behind him just like Luke, while Kylo and Vader walk out of their shuttle to face their former masters alone in identical fashion…the positions in which they’re standing are the same, even the dialogue has the exact same energy.
@thebiggunce
I could use a whole film of old Luke trolling people then just vanishing...
@japtakito8551
Agreed, we all could use a "Luke: A Star Wars Story" featuring Mark Hamill as a Jedi Master, covering the 30 year gap, training his students and Ben Solo, while having flashbacks as his young Jedi Knight like shown in the Mandalorian. Bringing back a young Lando, Leia, Han, Chewie, etc. and maybe even introduce Mara Jade.

Ya that's so Batman😁
@japtakito8551
@@geetadhumane5793 Well, considering Luke is Joker... it makes sense
@japtakito8551
@@Akuma.69 Exactly, Lucasfilm and Disney have everything to make this a possibility... money, Dave Filoni as director, John Williams music, CGI computer for younger versions of OT Cast. even Mark Hamill and Billy Dee would be on board for sure... It can work and they will win us back... but for some reason... they don't listen to us the fans and loose us more and more...
@japtakito8551
@@Akuma.69 I couldn't have said it better myself... they wasting time and potential stories... I feel bad for Hamill, Dee and Williams who love to be in films.

One thing I just noticed is Kylo Ren doesn’t see Luke as he is, he sees him how he remembers him, you can tell because his beard is different
@japtakito8551
Yes, nice catch!
This duel is about Kylo Ren confronting his past, and how he cannot let it die no matter what he does, his past (family) will always be with him
@matteothemattboal
He also has the blue lightsaber, which was destroyed by this point in the movie
@japtakito8551
@@matteothemattboal Yes, a perfect distraction for Kylo too, that lightsaber is what Kylo wants since Episode 7, so seeing his uncle hold it makes Kylo more focused on killing Luke but also distracted than ever to the fact that Luke is a projection and the Resistance is escaping.
