A trio of Lowenthal, Draganic and Zwingenberger had been playing together for several years when they found Müller.
Müller, born in Thüringen to an amateur musician from Tanzania and a German mother, had begun to sing jazz only a year before the trio was formed. Now she takes the stage with her new accompanists and fascinates audiences with her own unique sound.
By the end of 2004 Müller had given approximately 300 concerts with her trio, the majority of those in Germany and three in the United States, where she enjoyed great successes in New York and Boston and was likewise acclaimed by the American press. She also appeared in France, Austria, Switzerland, Poland and the Czech Republic and is set to perform in other countries in 2005.

You better stop the things that you do
I ain't lyin', no, I ain't lyin'
I just can't stand it babe
The way you're always runnin' 'round
I just can't stand it, the way you always put me down
I put a spell on you because you're mine
I put a spell on you because you're mine
I ain't lyin', no, I ain't lyin'
I just can't stand it babe
The way you're always runnin' 'round
I just can't stand it, the way you always put me down
I put a spell on you because you're mine
I put a spell on you. I put a spell on you
I put a spell on you. I put a spell on you
Lyambiko's cover of the classic 1956 song "I Put a Spell on You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins is a love song with a dark twist. The singer puts a spell on the object of her affection because she can't stand the way they treat her, but also because they belong to her. She demands that they stop their bad behavior towards her, warning that she's not bluffing. The repetition of the chorus reinforces the intensity of the spell she has cast, emphasizing that she will not let go of her hold on this person.
The lyrics can be interpreted in a variety of ways, from an expression of assertiveness and the desire for respect and loyalty in a relationship to a commentary on obsession and control. It's possible that the singer is using the metaphor of a spell to represent the power dynamics at play in the relationship, or she may be implying that she has actually put a supernatural curse on the other person. Either way, the haunting and sensual quality of the song lends itself to a sense of mystery and intrigue.
Overall, "I Put a Spell on You" is a powerful song that captures the complexity of love and possession. Its timeless lyrics and haunting melody have made it a classic that has been covered by countless artists, including Nina Simone, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Annie Lennox.
