Love Me Like I'm Not Made of Stone
Lykke Li Lyrics

There's a beat I can't deny
When it sings, when it lies
When it cheats, when it bribes
There's a war inside my core
I hear it fight, I hear it roar
Go ahead, go ahead
Even though it hurts
Even though it scars
Love me when it storms
Love me when I fall
Every time it breaks
Every time its torn
Love me like I'm not made of stone
Love me like I'm not made of stone
Devil's hand cross my heart
As we dance through the dark
Go ahead, go ahead
Love me deep until you can't
Even though it hurts
Even though it scars
Love me when it storms
Love me when I fall
Every time it breaks
Every time its torn
Love me like I'm not made of stone
Love me like I'm not made of stone
Love me all until it heals,
Will you call, so I can hear you
Even though it hurts, baby
Scars
Love me when I fall
Breaks, baby
Storm, baby
Made of stones
Love me like I'm not made of stones
Love me like I'm not made of stones
Love me like I'm not made of stones
In Love Me Like I’m Not Made of Stone, Lykke Li is expressing her vulnerability to love and the internal struggle she faces in allowing herself to be loved. She says that her heart beats uncontrollably and that she cannot hide it, regardless of whether it is truthful or deceitful. Despite her inner conflicts, she pleads with her lover to love her through it all, even when it hurts and leaves emotional scars. She wants him to love her when it storms, breaks, and tears her apart. In the chorus, she repeats the title phrase twice to emphasize the importance of being loved without feeling judged or scrutinized.
In the second verse, Lykke Li mentions the devil crossing her heart, likely referring to the temptation and risk that come with giving herself completely to love. Nevertheless, she encourages her lover to love her deeply, until he can’t anymore. The third verse is a plea for her lover to stay with her, to call her when he can, so that she can hear his voice and be reassured that he still loves her. The repetition of “even though it hurts, baby; scars” emphasizes her personal pain and insecurity. The song ends with a repetition of the chorus, with a slight alteration in the final line, replacing “stones” with “stone”, giving the song a more personal touch.

It Surprises me that she has never been casted as an actress in a movie, her facial expressions are heart breaking. I would like to see her in a Lynch' movie for example.
