- Isaiah 61:3, NIV
Anyone who knows Lynda now will some time or another find themselves marveling at her bottomless supply of enthusiasm. Whether she is ministering to a large congregation, or one-on-one to a runaway teen, her joyful dedication to the Lord is always a source of encouragement and an infectious catalyst of growth. In November of 1989, Lynda married Mike Randle of Kansas City, Missouri. Mike's background growing up on the streets of Kansas City's inner-city and his dramatic conversion experience have given him a powerful voice to youth who find themselves in the same desperation that he knew on the street. The Randles enjoy the various occasions where they are able to minister together, Mike speaking and Lynda singing. Lynda and Mike have been blessed with two precious daughters, Patience and Joy. One of the remarkable things about Lynda's ministry is her ability to quickly build rapport with her audience and "draw them out" regardless of the type of group she is addressing. In fact, her message and music have proven to be truly cross-cultural.
Leave It There

And you have to get along with meager fare
Just remember, in his word, how he feeds the little bird
Take your burden to the Lord, leave it there
Leave it there, leave it there
Just take your burden to the Lord oh and leave it there
If you trust him through your doubt, he will surely bring you out
Now if your body suffers pain and your health you canβ²t regain
And your soul is slowly sinking in despair
Jesus knows the pain you feel, he can save and he can heal
Take your burden to the Lord, leave it there
Leave it there, leave it there
Just take your burden to the Lord oh and leave it there
If you trust him through your doubt, he will surely bring you out
Take your burden to the Lord, leave it there
Take your burden to the Lord
Leave it there
(Leave it there)
Leave it there
The lyrics of Lynda Randle's song "Leave It There" speak to the idea of finding solace and strength in turning to God during times of difficulty and despair. The song acknowledges the challenges that life may present, whether it be a scarcity of material wealth or physical and emotional pain. It encourages listeners to remember the power of God's word and how it provides sustenance even for the smallest of creatures, such as birds. By taking one's burdens to the Lord and leaving them in His care, the song suggests that one can find relief and peace.
The repetition of the phrase "leave it there" underscores the message of surrendering one's worries and troubles to God. This act of trust is portrayed as a way to overcome doubt and experience deliverance. The lyrics acknowledge that Jesus understands the pain and suffering that individuals may endure, offering salvation and healing. It is a call to have faith in God's ability to provide strength and restoration.
