Blossom
M-1 Alternative Lyrics

And now I see
That the world never became what I thought it would be
There's only hate where I once saw love
There's only pain and rivers of blood
How the fuck can we save ourselves
While some still feel compelled
To segregate us on what they see?
Who the fuck
Let you speak?
Shut your mouth
Fucking creep
Pack animal, safety in numbers
But on your own, you won't stand firm
Foundations like walking on thin ice
Too ignorant to ever learn
Big man when you're holding the torch
But you cry on camera when you get caught
Play the victim with your fucked up ideals
We see through it, no one thinks it's for real
We've gotta change our attitudes first
Before we heal, we need to put in work
To close the wounds that we opened with words
Speak before you think and you'll never fucking learn
Who the fuck
Let you speak?
Shut your mouth
Fucking creep
You've got to learn your fucking lesson
Open up your mind and listen
Put down your torches and your weapons
The only war is on your way of thinking
You've got to learn your fucking lesson
Open up your mind and listen
Put down your torches and your weapons
The only war is on your way of thinking
The song "Blossom" by M-1 Alternative explores the disillusionment and frustration with the world not living up to the ideals and expectations that the singer had. The opening lyrics indicate a shift in perception, as the singer realizes that the world they envisioned is far from the reality. Instead of love, there is hate; instead of unity, there is segregation; and instead of peace, there is pain and bloodshed. The lyrics express anger towards those who perpetuate division and a call for self-reflection and change in attitudes.
The song criticizes individuals who use their voice to spread harmful ideologies and create division. The lyrics condemn the "evil species" who promote hatred and discrimination. The singer questions why these individuals are given a platform and suggests that they should be silenced. The lyrics also address the hypocrisy of those who appear strong and dominant in groups but crumble when confronted individually. The song expresses the need for personal growth and learning, emphasizing the importance of thinking before speaking and challenging harmful belief systems.
Overall, "Blossom" is a powerful anthem that explores the disappointment in a world marred by hate and division, urging listeners to reflect on their own beliefs and work towards a more inclusive and compassionate society.

The version seems to have a weird mix. Vocals seem a little up front, extra reverb, etc. My vinyl version seems tame in comparison.
Didn’t the rest of the record used to be on YouTube a while back?
I suppose it’ll be up to me to rip it and Aviary.
Jamie Smith
I have Aviary on CD. And another copy still in the cellophane wrapper. That album cuts me in half every time I listen to it. When time travel is invented, I'm going to travel back to that time in my life when that album came out.
