"I had to take two busses to get to the high school, and it took about an hour each way. My favorite thing to do was sit in the very last row, look out the window, and think about music. Sometimes I'd mix songs together in my head...taking the beat from one and the melody from another...In 1989 I decided it was time to do what I could to get my own set up of two turntables and a mixer."
A bicoastal upbringing combined with a strong appreciation of music and cultures of any kinds is manifested in the music that M.Fusion makes. He makes the kind of music that he himself would like to hear, but also has a desire to share it with others. M.Fusion's small indie label Nice Records, was created as a vehicle for his music as well as the music of his friends. Releasing records since 1996 through his own imprint, Fusion has gradually developped his own sound, mixing his multiple influences to create a very unique approach.
It's noisy, it's melodic...it's strange, it's corny...it's many things.
It's the music of M.Fusion.
Early influences include Devo, James Brown, Roxy Music, The Last Poets and Brian Eno. Later influences include Depeche Mode, Big Audio Dynamite, Thomas Dolby, Meat Beat Manifesto, Public Enemy, Front 242, Boogie Down Productions, The Beastie Boys, Ice T and Skinny Puppy. Recent influences include Radiohead, 90's Jungle/Drum and Bass, Underground Hip Hop, Fela Kuti, and of course Devo.
Movies also play a big part in the music of M.Fusion, especially the work of David Lynch. Other directors include Jim Jarmusch, George A Romero, John Carpenter, Michael Moore, John Kricfalusi, the Brothers Quay and Mike Judge.
Involved in the so-called West Coast Underground hip-hop scene since a couple of years, M.Fusion has collaborated with numerous gifted MC's and beatmakers (AWOL One, Subtitle, Existereo, Fat Hed, Akuma, Avatar, Deeskee, Presto, Nocturnal Ron to name a few). Besides his solo works (a 12inch, two EP's and two LPs), he sometimes teams up with Shape Shifters' MC Die Young. Under the moniker Dead Air, Fusion & Die released two full-length albums ("The Dead Air Project" and "Possession") in which they created a "dark, experimental and brooding" new sound...

Haven't felt myself in days
Stuck and cycling this maze
Don't want nobody to help me
And I can't find a way to cope
Some days I'm losing all my hope of fighting back against the hand that guides me
Okay okay okay I'm hearing all the words you say
I'll get medicated some day
Watching on a screen behind my eyes and ruining my whole damn life from the passenger side
Yeah I'm sitting shotgun
Don't know when the war's done
I'll be in the passenger seat avoiding the heat
Yeah I'm sitting shotgun
Don't know when the war's done
I'll be in the passenger seat avoiding the heat
Yeah I'm sitting shotgun
Don't know when the war's done
I'll be in the passenger seat avoiding the heat
Yeah I'm sitting shotgun
Don't know when the war's done
I'll be in the passenger seat avoiding the heat
Paint my nails and dye my hair
Fuck you on my neighbor's stairs
I don't love you, I don't care
I will not remember tomorrow
If you're not here, that would be fine dear
I got another coming over soon as you're gone
Okay okay okay I'm hearing all the words you say
I'll get medicated some day
But not today, I'm riding out these highs
Watching on a screen behind my eyes and ruining my whole damn life from the passenger side
Yeah I'm sitting shotgun
Don't know when the war's done.
I'll be in the passenger seat avoiding the heat.
Yeah I'm sitting shotgun
Don't know when the war's done
I'll be in the passenger seat avoiding the heat
Yeah I'm sitting shotgun
Don't know when the war's done
I'll be in the passenger seat avoiding the heat
Yeah I'm sitting shotgun
Don't know when the war's done
I'll be in the passenger seat avoiding the heat
Yeah I'm sitting shotgun
Don't know when the war's done
I'll be in the passenger seat avoiding the heat
Yeah I'm sitting shotgun
Don't know when the war's done
I'll be in the passenger seat avoiding the heat
Yeah I'm sitting shotgun
Don't know when the war's done
I'll be in the passenger seat avoiding the heat
Yeah I'm sitting shotgun
Don't know when the war's done
I'll be in the passenger seat avoiding the heat
The lyrics to M.Fusion's song "The Passenger" are about feeling lost and unable to cope. The singer is struggling with their mental health and is stuck in a cycle that they can't seem to break out of. They don't want help from anyone and are self-medicating with drugs and risky behavior, such as having sex with someone on their neighbor's stairs. They acknowledge that they need help, but are not willing to seek it out just yet.
The title of the song is a reference to the passenger seat, where the singer is sitting as they navigate through life. They feel like they're not in control and are just along for the ride. They're avoiding the heat or any difficult situations by letting others take the wheel.
Overall, the song is a raw and honest portrayal of someone struggling with their mental health and addiction. It's a reminder that it's okay to ask for help and that recovery is a journey, but it's important to take that first step towards getting better.

Very good video. Thanks. Need to replace an axle on a 2012 Fusion and this is exactly the video I was looking for.

Very well put together video, informative and cut to the chase mentality. Thanks!

What type of tool are you using to put the vibration on the axle, that of course makes it look so easy to break it free. It clearly is putting a vibration on the parts, is it a hammer drill with a certain tip? or the impact wrench. I've done a lot of my own DIY mechanics for 20 years, but never replaced CV's myself, my friend has impact wrenches I can use. I've seen someone replace my CV's on a Civic & I don't think he used a tool like that at that part, he just hit it w/a hammer or rubber mallet type, etc. But obviously the power tool makes it all look so much easier.
