With a drummer (James Murphy) lined up and still looking for a bass player the band started distributing demos. One of them was sent to Portugal to enter a competition and their second gig ended up being Ermal Metal Festival playing alongside bands such as Sepultura, Blind Guardian, Angra and Textures to name a few. As an aftermath the bass player (Jason Palmer) hired to play the gig ended up a permanent member of the band.
Back in London their song Sacred Sin was being played on Total Rock Radio with many compliments to the songwriting and the technical ability of the band. As a result the band was later voted Best New & Unsigned Band 2009 (US and Europe) and was interviewed live at Total Rock Radio. This greatly increased the band's popularity and within 2 weeks the band was number 8 in the London Metal Charts for Reverb Nation.
M.I.N.D is now writing and recording a debut album, to be ready in the beginning of 2011. The concept of the band is "the human mind". In the near future this will be expressed not only by the music and lyrics, but themed artwork and video productions incorporated in their stage show.

The lyrics of M.I.N.D's song Control portrays a person who is an out-of-control individual. The individual is described as being "duro" (hard), "canalla" (a rogue), and "letal" (lethal). However, despite these negative traits, the person is considered valuable to have on one's team rather than as an opponent. The person is known by many but is only a friend to a few, and is not inherently harmful to anyone. Instead, the person has a wild and impulsive nature, having been raised in the "rat race" and sworn allegiance in the barracks. The individual avoids following set rules, and is suspicious of people in general. The person resides in a lawless, territorial world, where the laws of the jungle prevail.
The lyrics also stress that the person is unpredictable - no one can trust them or know what to expect from them. The individual needs no formal introduction as their reputation precedes them. As the chorus repeats, "él está, fuera de control" (he is out of control), it reinforces that the person is uncontrollable and perhaps dangerous. The song emphasizes that this person is an animal who has grown up in the "rat race" of the streets and is a product of its environment. The lyrics urge listeners not to worry, but to stay away from this person as they are unpredictable and have no regard for the social norms of society.
