Strange
M.O.N.K Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

Starving, I've got this hunger
Growling from deep within
Carving internal thunder
Oh a craving that wears me thin

Well, it's hard to ingest
So many faces
I get my fill but still
Those passersby
Leave me empty on a diet of strange places
It all should enhance my senses
Tell me why
Does the spice of loneliness
Seem all but tasteless
And lingers there
To haunt me from inside
And leaves me

Starving, I've got this hunger
Growling from deep within
Carving internal thunder
Oh a craving that wears me thin

Many a trap
Are set and baited
From tension of temptation of the game
But ones who are fed
Are those who waited
Takes feminine wile
Leaves it curbed and tame
Only time'll find me home
And safely set
But until that time I remain

Starving, I've got this hunger
Growling from deep within
Carving internal thunder

Oh a craving that wears me thin
Oh a craving that wears me thin

Overall Meaning

In these lyrics, M.O.N.K explores the theme of hunger and longing, using metaphors to depict a deep emotional craving. The hunger mentioned is not a physical hunger for food, but rather a metaphorical hunger for something more meaningful and fulfilling in life.

The first verse describes this hunger as something growling from deep within, creating internal thunder. It emphasizes the intensity of the longing and the impact it has on the individual. The line "carving internal thunder" suggests that the hunger is consuming and overwhelming, like a constant rumbling inside their being.

The second verse delves into the complexities of the hunger. The singer acknowledges that they come across numerous people and experiences in life, hoping that they would fulfill their craving. However, they find that even though they interact with others, it leaves them feeling empty. The reference to a "diet of strange places" implies that while they may venture into unfamiliar territories in search of fulfillment, it ultimately fails to satisfy their hunger.

The lyrics also touch upon the feeling of loneliness. Even though the singer encounters various faces and experiences, they still feel the spice of loneliness. Loneliness is depicted as tasteless, making it difficult for them to find satisfaction or meaning in their interactions. It suggests that genuine connections and deep relationships are lacking, leaving them with an unfulfilled hunger.

The final verse introduces the idea of traps and temptation. The singer acknowledges that many traps are set and baited to deceive and entice them, but they understand that those who are patient and wait are the ones who are truly fulfilled. The hunger they feel is uncontrollable and intense, and they believe that only time will lead them to a place of comfort and satisfaction.

Overall, these lyrics convey a sense of longing and emptiness, emphasizing the difficulty of finding true fulfillment in life's experiences and interactions. The hunger is depicted as a constant presence, causing internal turmoil and weariness. The lyrics delve into the complexities of human emotions and the desire for deeper connections and meaning.

i believe the oil thing is a trick. The bars underneath the 'chauldron' are not bars but pipes with cold water circulating in them making the 'bath' not so hot. As you can see, the oil is not boiling, nor fuming either. This remind me of the monk levitation trick where the cane is actually a support going through the clothing. There is a lot of money to be make with these tourist attraction and they know it...

But, it is also true that with training and starting at a young age, one can make his bone grown way stronger than an average person. The head, can be make way stronger if hit continuously from childhood as the bone keep getting thicker and thicker from the stimulation.

Also, with training seriously in meditation, one can achieve the slow down of his heart to an impressive minimum rate. With years of training, one can almost appear dead. But that is nothing new and have been documented a long time ago. it is quite impressive but you don't need to became a monk to learn to do that. it is akin to be able to hold your breath for extended period of time underwater.

it is still a testimony of what is achievable with continuous training. Just don't be fooled by tricks though.

Those kungfu clowns aka paper tigers came and left...humiliated in UFC.
Those dance moves have nothing to do with real life situations.
I used to worship those kungfu fighters and monks.

MMA showed what works and what not.

Boxing, wrestling, BJJ, kickboxing, muay thai and karate in some extent work when blended.

The kids martial arts is brutal.

But it does take great flexibility to be a good martial art. I'm nowhere that flexible. But I know how to use a stick like a sword.

Well. I use to grow up watching my dad using some of these exercise.
Until he started using it on me and my sister to discipline.

Now I've learned them too😎.
Whres was trying to cause me to use it on my son. Just because that's how I was raised. I told my son. So he could be aware how they using him.
But he knows I will never. But he dare keep try to defend these whres like a little Jesus Christ. Mind you his a Aries I will kill them.

This just shows what you're capable of accomplishing if you fully dedicate yourself to mastering a single skill.

Except most is just slight of hand and they routinely get beat up by amateur boxers and fighters in general.

@Ken Aultman I’m just talking about a single skill not a fight.

@Ken Aultman It seems you haven't learned a thing about this video. They go through these journeys, excercises, and practices for more than just power and strength. Clearly you have some bias thoughts on this video that you should keep to yourself.

whostj

Yeah, and maybe more than a single skill.

Ken Aultman

@whostj there's nothing to learn because it's a parlor trick. Yeah, someone has some bias here. But, I don't think it's who you think it is. You believe in fucking magic bro... Lol! Go away.
